Detailed Description
Salin uses a new and unique method in an advanced process for treating air. The process works as follows: air is forced through the filter which contains a micro-crystallized deposit of salts, primarily sodium chloride (98% NaCl, 0.5% calcium chloride and magnesium, 0.2% iodine and sulphur).
By using the Salin Air Purifier, therapeutic effects including relief for asthma, bronchitis, and other respiratory allergies can be obtained. The Salin Air Purifier works by having air constantly passing through the filter with micro-crystalline salts which creates a fine, constant spry of sodium chloride in the surrounding area, changing the ionization of the air.
The structure of the device is compact and consists of a special filter made from microcrystalline sediment and a bellows mechanism. The device is easy to use and it ensures general purification of the air in different types of areas: room, apartments, offices, even car. Use is recommended mainly at night so as to ensure minimum exposure to the environment of 8 hours a day. If necessary, exposure can be extended to the whole day. One device is adequate for the treatment of max.150 cubic metres (about 55 sq metres).
The device has no corrosive effect on the environment it treats.
In the first using period (at least a month) the intensive use of the device is recommended. Use any possibility to increase the using period of the device in the space you stay, at home or at the office.
It is not recommended to use the device Salin in spaces with high humidity or steam, in dusty spaces or in spaces with oily aerosols (kitchen), because these kinds of environments damage the filter.
SALIN PLUS Technical Data
voltage rate: DC 9 V power rate: 10 W air flow rate: 12...32 m3 / h recommended using space volume: max 150 m3 recommended time to use: 6...10 h/day useful life for filter: 4 months weight: max. 1.65 kg dimensions: 181 x 165 x 235 mm noise level: max 50 dB
Please note: The appliance should only be connected to a DC 6-9 V for Salin S2 or a DC 9 V current, for Salin Plus.
You should ensure that the appliance does not receive severe mechanical jolts. The appliance should not be stored or used in a damp environment and it should not be sprayed with water.
If the noise the appliance makes is disturbing, you can reduce the voltage with the adjustable voltage divider.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 November 2016Did wonders for meHave been using this salt filter for 3 weeks now. I have it in my bedroom and switch it on about 1 hour before I go to bed and leave it on all night. I have suspected copd or chronic bronchitis. Was given an inhaler (Salomol) which gave me terrible headaches and dizziness. So stopped using it. This filter makes the air smell so differently, fresh and clean. I have noticed since using this filter that my breathing has become more easy and in the morning the build op of all the bad things in my lungs come out within 10 minutes. I used to need about an hour to get ready for work, now it takes hardly any time.I have 4 whippets and they just love the air in my bedroom and stay all night with me. Must say something about this filter that very sensitive dogs like whippets like to be near it. The sound that the filter makes I find actually soothing, almost like the sound of the sea. Really love this filter and would recommend it to anyone with lung issues.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 January 2020Life saverIt works!! Am vey healthy usually. I work in the emergency department caught some nasty bug that gave me terrible breathlessness couldn’t cough felt like I had wool in my chest. So went to gp got steroids and inhalers didn’t help. Initially looked at the Himalayan salt lamps but too many cons. As a medical professional I go into facts and figures started researching halo therapy. Bought this and within 24hrs my chest was clear.. knew it was the machine because tasted what I coughed up pure salt (good as it cleared my chest) I recommend this to my patients now.

After only a week of using this machine,I feel able to breathe,my sinuses are unblocking and mucous that used to be hard to shift ,is fast becoming a lot thinner in texture...I still use my prescribed inhalers, but salbutamol less than I used before....Give It a try,if you dont feel any benefit return within 60 days.for refund.....
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 November 2020Worked for 16 mths and then didn’t!My husband has severe asthma and this has helped. However, after just 16 months, despite maintaining it as advised, the Salin Plus has stopped working. Fan cleaned, filter changed and power still getting through but still is not working. For the cost of machine and filter we are very disappointed. It’s a simplistic set up and little to go wrong but it has. Out of warranty and manufacturer doesn’t want to know as bought on this platform. Shame.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 January 2021Fire Hazard Very Very DangerousThe plug on this device blew up with a loud bang, within one minute of it being turned on for the first and only time. The top of the plug was actual blown across the room, the inside of the plug and the inside of the top were burned and needless to say the trip switch blown.Worst of all the plug did not have a fuse, which is illegal under UK Plugs & Socket Regulations 1994 Section 6.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 October 2020This air purifier destroyed my bedroom furniture!Got this product to help with breathing difficulties at night. Used it for only 4 nights as it leaked salt water all over my chest of drawers. I had placed the item on top and the salt spill ruined my mobile phone cover - luckily not the phone itself, which was also placed on top of the chest. The white stains when touched with a finger and then tasted had a salty taste.Additionally the liquid spilled down the front of four drawers tarnishing the brass handles, on one side. The stains have not responded to attempts to clean them returning each day..Possible the worse purchase I have made - despite all the TV ads. and glowing testimonials. I returned the unit.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 January 2021Collected water, unhappy with Chemist connects refundVery dissapointed - we hadn't used it for even two weeks of nights - as we had to get used to the sound to use it, and then as I was falling asleep it cut out. I unplugged and opened to discover it had collected water in the bottom, which I emptied, when plugged back in it would cut out, then work again etc.. too dangerous to use. It was outside returns policy but company said to return - they knew the full story, and after much back and forth told me to return for full refund. Then, I returned - excellently packaged - I didn't have original light cardboard box it was in for obvious reasons, and when they recieved it ( and I'd to follow up) they then told me they couldn't refund me because it wasn't in original packaging so they couldn't resell it!!! Outrageous! eventually gave me 85 - when they;d told me I'd get a refund! Never said Partial! 40 for a cheap cardboard box!I wish this product worked, but no..

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 January 2021UpdateYes,I removed the filter, exposing the fan, which, when switched on didn’t work.I then physically turned the fan, and when switched on again it did work! The machine worked though the night and was then switched off. When it was switched on again the fan didn’t work so I went through the previous procedure gaining the same result, the fan again worked. There appears to be an intermittent problem specific to the fan, clearly I should not have to “tinker” with the fan each time I use the machine! Please advise on what can be done having paid £125 for it
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 May 2018Excellent ProductAmazing machine. This has made such a difference to my husbands snoring, he’s virtually stopped since using this machine. Would highly recommend.

I have been coughing for 20 years, maybe asthma, maybe allergy (I think so) but doctors etc, could do no good for me, had tons of different meds, no difference, only antihistamine worked for a while, but soon became immune to all types of them.... this winter I genuinely thought my life was no longer worth living, the cough was such a misery to me, I was largely incontinent, wracked day and night with coughing, couldn’t sleep, embarrassed, sure I would just drop dead he day as my cough was such a strain on the heart and lungs.. First I tried blue iron supplement which did seem to help, and then I bought this machine... the best money I ever spent in my life... a month later, I am almost cough free (maybe one ‘do’ a day) I am off any meds, no longer need protection, I can enjoy activities again, I feel like a new person, and I can sleep!!! My advice, just persevere and hope for the best, I am not sure if will help colds and flu etc, so if that is your problem, you will just get better soon anyway, if you have a chronic ear, nose, throat, chest type of ailment going on, I think this may work well for you, keep going... see less
