    Incredible! Just what I needed!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 October 2021
So I have asthma, I've had it my whole life and during the summer it just becomes unbearable.I have tried air purifiers before and they just never really seems to have an effect, but they were all pretty cheap, low-budget air purifiers so what did I expect.Anyways I saw this and figured I'd give it a go, what's the worst that could happen. So it arrived pretty quickly, I opened it and took the device out of the box.I took the filter out of the bottom, removed it from its bag and reinserted it into the device.I turned it on and immediately I was surprised by how much air it can move!On Sleep mode its barely audible. On Low mode its pretty quiet. On Medium its noticeableOn High it's not loud but you couldn't sleep with it on so high.Keep in mind it has to pull all that air through a triple layered HEPA filter :DThe app is also very handy! It's easy to pair and setup, the instructions are taped to the top of the device when you unbox it.The Core 300S model has the laser air quality sensor which the app uses to track air quality and give you a PM2.5 reading. The app also tells you the filters 'life' as a percentage so you know when to replace it, luckily you can order a new one from the app which will open an amazon link for the filter you need!Long story short, I can definitely feel a difference in the air, its easier to breathe, it's lighter in a way.TL:DR It works.I highly recommend this air purifier, it's definitely a great help and does a better job than i expected! If this review was helpful please consider slapping that helpful button :D

Better than I thought it would be

You also have an app, for your device, which can fully control the purifier too.I'd heard these were good for those with asthma, allergies etc. My partner has issues with both. This has made a massive improvement on his sleep, even the snoring doesn't seem anywhere near what it used to be.It's a nice design, not too large, roughly 35cm tall and 22cm wide. There is a 185cm long, UK plug cable attached, so this is a decent length. The whole thing seems well made, not too heavy, durable and sturdy, even on carpet. Before using, you need to remove the bag, from the filter. To do this, you need to turn it upside down, then unscrew the base, remove the bag and put back together. There is a touch screen panel on top, in the centre, you will have a ring that lights up, in different colours. This is the indicator colour, for the air quality. Red means bad, orange is moderate, green is good and blue is very good. As you can see in my pictures, this started off as red in the bedroom, this made it's way up to blue, over the night. Red/bad, could mean anything from dust in the air, smoke, bad odours, chemicals etc, all of which, the purifier can help with.Aside from the colour ring, you also have -• On/off• Fan speed. Set it from low - medium - high. You can see what level this is on too.• Sleep mode. This purifies the room quietly, with no display lights on.• Timer. You can set this anywhere from 1 hour, to 12 hours.• Wifi indicator. To show it's connected etc.• Auto mode. This will run the fan speed accordingly, to the air quality of the room.• Display lights off.• Check filter indicator.• Lock the display. The app you need to download, is called VeSync. (Little picture of a house). Add and connect your air purifier, via Bluetooth. You can name it and set which room it's in, for quick access. Connect it to Alexa and google through here.In the app, you can see the colour of the air quality. You can schedule timers, turn on auto mode, turn the display off, see the filter % left and more, you can pretty much control the whole thing from this app too.I will admit, it's better than I thought it would be, so it goes to show it's worth paying that little bit more, for pure good quality air. This has absolutely made a difference to my partners breathing, especially at night, snoring included. I would definitely recommend it, having seen it works, obviously! It is still, just slightly more than I thought it would be that's all.

Great way to clean air and help with allergies
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 October 2021
The air purifier arrived the day after ordering and very well packaged. It arrives in a strong cardboard box with nice images and useful information about the product embellished on each side of the box. Inside the product is well supported with foam inserts and the air purifier itself is protected in a plastic sheeting.Inside you will also find a clear instruction manual that advises you to remove the plastic from all components including, the filter before turning it on. This is really clearly highlighted, so not sure how some other reviewers had issues with this.It is lightweight and very aesthetically pleasing, I am happy to have this on show around the house because it is nice to look at and isn’t too large so fits in a lot of places.Set up was very easy, you can either scan the QR code that is found on the box or in the instruction manual, or download the VeSync app. The process is simple to follow and was connected and linked to our Alexa network in under 5 minutes. There are also buttons on the air purifier itself if you would prefer to manually control the device, and these are simple and clear to understand. There is also a simple display lock that prevents anything to be changed even if pressed, so if you have kids this is a great way to ensure your settings don’t get messed around.Within the app, you have the ability to turn the device on and off, adjust the fan speed, set schedules or timers. Most of the time we leave the device on auto mode which I have to say is very clever, the device will continuously read the air quality in the room and adjust the settings as required to keep the air purification at an optimal level. The app also displays great data on the current air purification level, the filter life balance, graphs to look at how your air levels have behaved over the day/week and facts on how the air purifier is performing overall. The biggest change in the house that I have noticed is the allergies to our cats (we have 2). I often get flare ups and have to take antihistamines regularly and have trouble sleeping through the night as often wake up feeling congested. Since we have had the purifier running, I haven’t had to take any antihistamines and find that my sleeping has improved a lot. I take the machine down from the bedroom to the office and then bring it back up into the bedroom an hour before we go into the bedroom (cats spend a lot of their day in the bedroom). My sister has allergies to cats as well and usually really suffers when she visits, she has commented that the last few visits she has had no reactions and also hasn’t needed to take antihistamines either!I laugh because when my girlfriend sprays her perfume near the air purifier, the fan speed increases, and I tease her that it is trying to purify her natural odour This air purifier does a great job for us and we definitely think it is worth the money.

    Noticeable results

This Smart Air Purifier from LEVOIT arrived the day after ordering, its well boxed for transit and the main unit inside the box is supported well.Once unpacked you do need to remove the filter from the sealed bag and insert it into the unit. The unit stands 35cm tall and 22cm wide (round), everything feels robust and well made so I feel reassured that it will last. The power cable length is generous at 185cm, this was ideal to plug it in by the side of the bed but still move it a good distance away.I’d been keen to try an air purifier to see if it helped my son with Asthma and allergies, in general just allowing him to get a better night’s sleep. The great thing about this purifier is the volume of air that it pulls through, in a small bedroom the air can quickly be improved when the fan speed is set on full. The full fan speed is loud so if you are going with this option, you won’t be sleeping at the same time, but not to worry the lower settings are near silent so these can be used through the night. The backlit controls on the top of the unit are super clear and easy to use, the colour ring display also lets you know the air quality. The variety of the run functions are great working with a simple timer or an Auto mode that keeps ontop of the air quality, compliment this further with the App and Alexa means the ease of use is taken care of.The results are noticeable, and my son says spending time in his room has helped when his Asthma has been playing up.The price point at £149.99 seems fair and the unit is a nice unobtrusive size.

    Unwrap the filter before use…
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 September 2021
The filter is sealed in a bag so open up the base and unwrap this first or it won’t work ;-) and we don’t have Alexa so it’s the app for us. Which tends to drop the connection every now and then…bit frustrating. We set this up in the spare room for a friend with a compromised immune system - best chance to really give this a run for its money (which is one heck of a lot, £150). Normally, for any visitors, it’d be clean bedding, good dust and hoover, open windows to air and that’s it. So this time we did all the above, then closed the windows and door to let this do its thing and clean the air. Seems the air quality was bad as the light on top showed red, but during the day changed to green. So far, so good. Turned it off and left the room, then tried again the next day. Ditto. On red light gradually cycling to green, although in theory the air in that room should have been cleaned. Maybe the lights just cycle through regardless….or maybe I’m cynical. Our friend slept well and didn’t find the gadget too noisy, but she felt a bit hermetically sealed in the room, with everything closed - and that’s the downside. For this to be effective, windows and doors need to be closed. Yet even in winter, we always open the top windows at night when we go to bed (and when the heating is off) to allow some fresh air - this device would be rendered pointless then. Apparently this allows a complete change of air twice in each hour - I think, from memory (so forgive me if I’m wrong) the legal requirement for a commercial air conditioning unit is 6 times per hour. So this is just about adequate for domestic use. It may help with allergies or asthma (I have asthma but I’d still rather sleep with a top window open than in a sealed room). I can appreciate it will have some uses for some people in some circumstances - but to make it really effective you’d need to buy several to meet the needs of your flat or house, and never open your windows. It’s a very expensive way of getting “fresh” air, especially as you have to keep buying replacement filters. I’ll keep it for use when one of us has a cold, maybe, and I’ll try it again in hay fever season next year.

Incredible technology, innovative design, high quality product
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 September 2021
Living in the High Peak area of England, the air quality is about as good as it gets, so obtaining an air purifier was perhaps an unnecessary acquisition. I had vague ideas of it improving my sleep patterns, and am anyway a sucker for high tech, and tech doesn't get much higher than this quality product. And so it was proved, the device for days on end only registered "good" or "very good" air quality with the colour indicator steadfastly remaining on blue and the phone app indicating "1". Until that is I dined one evening on a steak with a little blue cheese. Tucking into the meal my peripheral vision suddenly noticed the machine was glowing bright red! The phone app similarly was now indicating a three figure number, and the bright red background.I was quite alarmed at first as there was nothing to account for the sudden change. Ones mind immediately turns to something burning (though the device is hardly a smoke detector per se), but there is a working smoke detector in the kitchen ceiling (yes, a stupid place for a smoke detector, but...) it was silent. Everything in the kitchen being turned off a while ago and indeed washed down (the steak had being "resting" for ten minutes. So the purifier has detected the cheese! Well, not perhaps the cheese, but probably burnt molecules in the air released as the steak was unwrapped from the foil. But it was really quite amazing that the detection system on the purifier was so sensitive, and a good indication of quality product the Levoit is.(As the meal was finished, the device colour indicator returned to blue within seconds, stepping down rapidly from red to orange, then blue).Superbly designed and built, the device is pleasing to the eye if a tad heavier than one anticipates ( but still very easy to carry about, not that a nicely concealed handle wouldn't make that operation easier). The technology behind the instrument is outstanding, and the easy to install app is one of the best designed I have seen and used, and operates blissfully easily.... and my sleep seems to have improved!

I am very impressed with this air purifier.

I was pleased to try this 'LEVOIT Smart Air Purifier for Home Bedroom, H13 HEPA Air Filter with Real Time Air Quality Sensor, Removes 99.97% Pollen Allergies Dust Odours, Alexa Enabled Air Cleaner with Quiet Auto Mode, Core300S'. I had a smaller air purifier in the bedroom this summer and it has really helped with allergies. This one will be in the lounge for the daytime.1. You get the air purifier in a branded presentation box with lots of information about the appliance printed on it. You also get an instruction booklet.2. It is powered via a mains 3 pin plug.3. The unit measures - 37cm x 22cm diameter. The case is a nice, soft white, plastic with a light grey finned top and a circular black touch screen in the middle of the top.3. Before you start the unit, you turn it over and remove the twist off base. The true Hepa filter is in a plastic bag, which you remove, then replace the filter and the base. You can then turn it on with the middle touch button on the top. It will start on the lowest setting, then you can increase the speed to medium and fast. It sounds a bit like an ordinary air fan - not too loud but not silent. It runs at 22 decibels on the night time setting. It wouldn't bother me at night time but it might bother some people.4. You can down load an app that lets you use your phone as a remote - when the unit is plugged in and the socket turned on, it is in standby mode for you to control it via the remote. When the app has been downloaded, you link it to the WiFi. You can also link it to your Alexa or Google assistant. The app also tells you the air quality - mine started at 2 but went down to 1 within about ten minutes, then 0 (very good) within the next hour, on just the low setting.5. The unit should be sited with at least 15 inches of clearance on all sides.6. You can set the timer, use the sleep function, set it to auto, have the display lights on or off, there is a display lock so the settings can't be accidentally changed.7. The outside of the pre filter should be vacuumed every 2 - 4 weeks. The 'check filter indicator' illuminates when you should check the filter and it needs replacing about every 6 to 9 months. The sensor holes on the outside of the unit should be also be vacuumed regularly.8. I am very impressed with this air purifier. It should really help with allergies.9. The current price of £149.99 is fair, in my opinion.

Cleans up the air in no time. Detailed feedback on the app and voice control with Alexa or Google.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 September 2021
This machine is amazing, no other word for itYou can use it on its own, the rings show how good the air quality is, aim for blue which is the best.Or you can use it with the VeSync app, I highly recommend the app as it gives detailed information on the number of particles and enables you to control and make settings. Oh yes and you can make voice commands using Alexa or Google I use Alexa of course, I was amazed at how I could do this with no problems. If the particles are high, don't worry, the machine will get the number down in no time, just a few minutes in some cases. Super quick machine and gives great feedback as to what the air is like. For instance, hubby sleeps in the bedroom next door to the living room. I know when he smokes a cigarette because the fan, which has been just ticking over, comes on, that's how sensitive it is. It's all cleaned up quickly though.I tend to leave The machine on the auto setting and let it do it's thing or put it on the night setting which is so quiet you won't know it's on, I have to make sure it's still on by going over and putting my ear to it.Please remember to take the plastic bag from around the filter before using, it's easy, just turn the machine upside down and turn the cover to take it off. You will see the filter in the bag, just take the bag off and replace the filter, it's easy, really easy, even for me.Talking of filters. I had a look to make sure they were available. Yes they are and what's more they do four different types so something for everyone. The one fitted is an all round one but they also do a toxin one, a pet allergy one and a mould one. I'm going to get the mould one next time, our bedroom gets very musty at times.I am so happy with this air purifier, I don't know how I managed without it. I've recommended it to all my friends.

Extremely easy to use without remote.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 September 2021
I’m on tech all day and I don’t really want tech with this air filter. So I’ve used it totally manually so far.I’ve placed it in my bedroom against the bookcase along one side of my room.I found this to be so well designed practically and looks wise. It’s stumpy in size means it’s less likely to be knocked over compared to other air conditioners I’ve seen and used.I opened it from the box and removed all the plastic outside and inside as instructed. Plugged it in, press the on button abs away it goes. Most of the buttons are intuitive to understand what it means. I set it on a few hours in the day or some times on timer for 2 hours at night. The hourly countdown timer switches it off automatically when the easy to set number of hours runs out.The nighttime mode is extreme quiet that you’d think it was not even switched on. But when I put my hand slightly over it I can feel the air moving. It’s easy to open up and change the filter. It looks like a statement design piece in my bedroom and I’m glad because you can’t hide it away (that’s what you’d do if it was ugly) otherwise it won’t be able to move the air around the room. You can see it’s made well and looks great.I’m looking at getting one for each of my teenagers’ bedroom.

    High-quality and performance purifier.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 October 2021
You can definitely tell that this is on the more premium end of purifiers, previous models I've trialled seemed just to be glorified fans and pushed dust and debris around but never actually dealt with it.This one, however, does have a noticeable impact and having put it in our bedroom, near where our two cats tend to hang out, have noticed a lot less dust and pet dander knocking around. The key to these types of devices is to place it on something, rather than the floor, so we put it on top of some drawers and you can see the thing just inhaling stuff constantly. It's really easy to set up—take the filter out of the plastic first—and operate either manually or with the app/Alexa. You get four-speed modes and obviously the higher up you go, the louder it gets, but at the lower settings, it soon blends into the background. Overall it's really made a difference to the quality of air in the house, and also goes a little towards keeping it clean. Just remember to frequently clean the filter, very easy to do, to make sure you get the most out of it.
