- what type of filters does this purifier take? and are they readily available to buy like places like argos the high street?You will need the levoit lv-pur 131 filter. Argos don’t sell them but amazon do. They need to be replaced approx 6-8 months depending on usage

I’ve also found longer the carbon filter is used the less effective it seems to become at removing the smells. However, it certainly detects aerosols when they are used in the room - the unit goes into overdrive (when auto mode) when it’s sensor detects the mist but I‘m not sure that a mist is quite the same as a vapour as I think the particles would be bigger in a mist than in a vapour. Still, I think it’s a good air purifier though and as long as the filters are regularly changed Ive found it very beneficial. Hope this helps a bit. see less
- Can you actually feel the difference when you breathe the air in?I use one by my bed and instantly I stopped waking up with blocked nose and swollen face from hypoxia. My asthma got better as well. I told few of my friends who have allergies and it really improves the quality of their sleep. I saw improvements after the first use
