• My DX95 at lowest fan speed setting, even when on manual, consistently alternates between two slightly different speeds every ~7 secs ? Normal ?

• has anyone else had an unpleasant strange smell with their unit ? been running weeks now and smell not going away.my older unit smelt clean and fresh
  Yes but it did eventually go away. My problem was that my first unit stopped working after 5 weeks(electrical problem) but I got a replacement from Amazon just last week so I have the smell again. I burn a scented candle for 30-60 mins on and off and that works or even a plugin would do.

• I just got one of these yesterday and it is constantly on blue even though I have bad hayfever and the pollen count is high. Is this usual /working?
  I don't know how effective it is on smaller pollen, etc but the blue light simply means that there are lower levels of allergens like pollen being sampled in the air. I also suffer from hayfever and we know that it is really only possible to reduce exposure (unless you have the means to do full climate control) and this will probably be better at times when the pollen levels are higher. I know it depends on which pollens affect you and how sensitive you are, but it is bound to help to clean some of them. This is coming into the worst period for me as I am allergic mainly to grass pollen, but there are limits to what machines at these prices can do. Still the best one I've used - by far. see less
