Spot on product & the app is easy to use
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 April 2021
Works really well, very effective and lots of useful additional features such as the 24 hour timer function, night mode and the colour notification of the air quality. The app is easy to use, and reliable! Finally, it looks nice too. I know that’s not the most important part but I would put it in any room without it being an eyesore, it’s more slimline than the pictures show. I would recommend this air purifier.

I always have high expectation on Beurer's product and I I was never disappointed. Having tried their blood pressure monitor, blood sugar tester and humidifier, this is my first air purifier from Beurer, and I am loving this machine!PROS:+ Very powerful on high speed, it drags air better than my fan extractor in the kitchen+ Noticeable clean air that relieves my nasal allergy+ Sleep mode switches off all lights and operates next to no noise, as if it is switched off but there is draught coming out+ Elegantly designed+ Touch sensitive buttons, the 'beep' sounds expensive+ Information such as humidity, temperature and air quality are clearly displayed and can be read from app recorded on graphs+ Filter can last 4300+ hours, 6 months+ life even if it is on 24/7+ A very sophisticated app that has full control of the machine, with all the necessary configurations such as sensitivity and push notificationCONS:- Very loud when on medium to high speed- Quite pricey for a apparently simple machine (fan + filter + UV light)The replacement filer is currently selling at £97 on amazon, I don't think this is outrageously expensive for 4300+ hours that it claims. For my use, I put it in the hallway, on for 6 hours a day, one filter could last years rather than months like some cheaper air purifiers with a much smaller filter.Accessing the filter cannot be easier as the cover is held together by magnets, no tool is required on replacing the filter. The air is sucked in from the sides and blow out from the top. There is a slight smell to the air coming out if the UV is on.I keep it on 'Auto' and it does change speed according to the air quality, giving me a great peace of mind.Overall, I really like this machine and will buy the replacement filter for it when the time comes. This is not the same £70-£100 machines which I owned a couple. It noticeably help my nasal allergy problems, I highly recommend this product!

Bear in mind the annual cost of the consumables
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 September 2021
Air purifiers can make life much more bearable if you suffer from allergies to pollen, dust and such like as they remove them from the air that you breathe. During hay fever season, I can actually sleep when I have an air purifier running whereas if I don’t, I suffer from streaming nose, tickly cough and itchy/sore eyes, which makes sleep something I can only dream of.Set up is a straightforward process and the unit is up and running in no time at all. It takes a few hours for the impact to be felt in the room where it is sited, so I would leave it running during the day if you aim to have this in a bedroom to aid sleep. I leave mine on constantly so that it can clean the air and prevent any build up. You can feel the difference in the air between a room that has been purified and one that has not; as a hay fever sufferer, I wish I had had one years ago as it makes a huge difference. This is a relatively discreet unit and it is a lightweight design and thus a doddle to use, so you could move it around the house without too much trouble. The Beurer LR500 is a good air purifier and one that shouldn’t disturb your sleep due to its noise, but you need to bear in mind the cost of consumables. Filters need to be replaced approximately every six months to enable filtration to continue at best levels and replacements work out (currently) at about 200 pounds each year (two changes of filters). Clearly if you run your purifier less frequently the filters should not need to be replaced as frequently, but it is a high and on-going outlay that you will need to factor in. Note that filters have been difficult to source during the pandemic and, should you decide to invest in one of these, I would try to purchase your first set of replacement filters at the same time so that they are ready when you need them.

    A breath of fresh air!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 September 2021
Having an air purifier to me was one of those gadgets that only are found in hospitals and medical places. I am blown over how good this device is and I would not have know if I had not owned one. It does not cool the air or anything like that but it does help cut down on the internal pollution in my home and filters out even germs and particles. With covid I am extra careful and we clean more than ever, but we can't clean the air only surfaces. This has a HEPA filter which filters the smallest of particles. I have even found we have to dust less in the bedroom since we have had it. The UV light santises the air as well giving 3 stages of filtering over all.I have downloaded the app and its very simple to use, you can control your device from this or you can use the buttons on it instead. You can set timers and there is reminders when the filter needs changing or cleaning. This is very quiet, and in the night mode even more quiet. It just purrs away in the background so I just leave it on all the time. It does not use much electric and the LEDs can be off at night not to distract you. Some useful info it gives you is room temperature and humidity levels in the bedroom. The turbo mode is great to quickly filter a room. I am asthmatic and I know something like this is benficail to my health.Over the machine is great, it does a great job at filtering with carbon, HEPA and UV light to help clean the air. The unit is quit big but discreet and it is very quiet. Easy to use - just use automatic if you are not sure.

Slim design very quite and helps clear the air from bacteria and dust.

I’m very impressed with this Beurer air purifier LR500 uses a triple action HEPA air filter system to clean the air. Its very easy and straightforward to use and easy to set the timer for 24 hours or 1/2 hours depending on how long you want to run it for, and when is done it turns off automatically. The night mode is quite and this has an ultraviolet light cleaning function which uses light waves to kill stubborn bacteria by disrupting their DNA around the room. I mainly got it for my husband and daughter. My husband suffers from seasonal allergies and my daughter has asthma and breathing issues. We plugged it in and within 30/40 minutes we can feel the air in the room feel lighter and better. My husband can feel his sinus open up and wasn’t irritated like before. The design is lovely and slim and doesn’t take much space. Is quite and very effective and helps relieve sinus discomfort and clears the air from pollution and bad bacteria. The digital colour display is very easy to read and understand and gives clear display of the room temperature and humidity. You can download the app and can be use via WiFi/Bluetooth.Pro1, had triple-layer HEPA filter system2, has additional air purification through optional ultraviolet light and fur PM 2.5 Sensor, detects fine dust with particle sizes of up to 2.5 μm3, The magic LED display with sensor touch button invisible when not in use4, this has 4 fan speeds + turbo modeCons, I can’t fault it absolutely brilliant.Overall excellent product and quality is superb and highly recommend it.

    This air purifier really works!!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 September 2021
I have had this Air Purifier by Beurer (LR500) set up and running in my household for the last week and wow, what a difference it has made. I live in a fairly polluted area since I’m pretty close to central London, as a result, dust and other harmful microbes tend to accumulate in my garden and find themselves rent free in my home. Despite constantly deep cleaning of my home, it was never enough to truly remove these pollutants. That’s where this Air Purifier comes in. It automatically filters the air, removing dust, microbes and other harmful airbornes that are invisible to the eye. All you have to do is turn the purifier on (either by a tap of a button or via the app), sit back and relax. I can feel the difference already and it’s only been a week of using for about an hour a day.The app is very handy in the sense that it displays very important information such as the currently air quality in any given room (as well as humidity levels). Also, it will indicate when the purifier filter needs to be changed so you can take the guessing game out of the loop. Though it is estimated that this filter needs to be changed once every 4320 hours of using. So if you are thinking of using this air purifier for about 3-4 hours every day, you could expect to replace it once every ~3 years. With that being said, they cost about ~£100 to replace so you may need to factor this into costs.Overall, I really like the aesthetics of this air purifier, fairly compact in size and incredibly user friendly especially with the accompanying free app. Set-up is simple and takes just a few minutes. When in use, it is quiet and even has a sleep mode setting so you can sleep in peace as the air around you is getting purified.Overall, 5 stars and well worth the money.

Enhanced UV filtration of air - Quiet - Easy to use app or standalone
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 September 2021
These Beurer air purifiers are great, I have already got a very small unit in our bedroom, but it is nowhere near advanced as this. Its a smartly designed panel style filter that is pretty unobtrusive in the corner of any room. We are using it in our open plan lounge/dinig room as with any ioniser, it will keep the room pleasant and fresh. My partners also suffers terribly from allergies and we found ionisers minimise impact on her and as soon as this was installed in the space, within an hour she said her sinuses seemed more relaxed and her breathing was better than normal. The main unit has a handy display and can easily be operated by the buttons on the unit. There is also an accompanying app, but to be fair, I'm not to bothered to use that as we ten to put it on an auto timer when we go in the room for 1 or 2 hours in general to make it comfortable while occupied. One new feature we hadn't had previously is the enhanced UV light treatment inside the unit that ensure an additional layer of improvement in air quality for killing any airborne biological nasties further purifying and improving the rooms. In modern times, this is a nice additional reassurance...The main carbon filter is replaceable and is easy to get to when due to be replaced. Not the cheapest, but extremely quiet in operation and clearly very good quality.

    Highly effective and sleek
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 September 2021
So it’s hard to tell if these things are working right as you can’t see these particles in the air however I’ve noticed a huge difference in the amount of settling dust after cleaning and also an improvement in my hay fever and dust allergy's.This air filter is awesome as it cleans the air also from bacteria and viruses and with the winter bugs coming I can’t wait to see if this helps with the spreading of germs throughout the family. There is a digital display that gives you a reading of the quality of the air in your home, including the room temperature and humidity. You can also see this in the app which connects to the air purifier. You can also control the settings remotely as well. The purifier features 4 fan speed modes and a turbo mode for fast filtration. Perfect if someone is unwell or you’re suffering badly from allergies. It also features night time mode so the air can be cleaned whilst you sleep peacefully. This air purifier is the best one I’ve tried by far and looks the best also. Would highly recommend.

    Worth its weight in gold!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 September 2021
This is an exceptional air purifier that can trap particles so small it even works on trapping those from viruses. This of course is great peace of mind in todays climate. Whether one smokes or not, or chooses to outside to protect little ones, this machine works wonders for eliminating passive smoke. What many people don't realise is after a person has smoked, even outside, the toxicity is carried on their breath for some time!!! So even if you don't smoke but are inviting guests round that do this machine is worth its weight in gold.Very user friendly. I personally have noticed the air feeling a lot cleaner. As a result my itchy scratchy throat feeling has gone. Sneezing has diminished and even my eyes feel less irritated. I keep this machine on all the time. If doors are left open i notice an improvement beyond that of the room it's kept in too.So many features, the temperature monitoring is useful when used in a nusery. The machine may be expensive, but you can't put a price on fresh air and breathing better!

    App works well
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 August 2021
This beurer air purifier is easy to set up- just a few pieces of sticky tape need taking off and then it can be plugged in. You can also download the app which is very user friendly and helpful as you can track what the air quality is like and really personalise usage of the air purifier. The unit itself was actually a bit disappointing to me, I think it feels cheap, the front of the unit (which is thin plastic) opens out for replacement of air filters. The display is very thorough but quite cheap looking, and it uses a light system to tell you what the air quality is like- ie red= bad, green=good.I’ve been lucky enough to try other air purifier brands (which are actually a little cheaper) and in comparison this is quite disappointing. I don’t feel cleaner air when using this (as I have with the others) and neither can I tell any difference with smells- cooking or smoke. The machine says that it is cleaning the air but in all honesty I can’t tell.

  • Does the digital display change colours to indicate the air quality
Hello, not the digital display but at the bottom of the product a colour will illuminate to show the air condition in the room. Blue = good, yellow = acceptable, orange = poor and red = very poor. Please note that if you have night mode on then the light will not show. Beurer Customer Service Team
