This is a good compact air purifier that is missing one must have feature...I think it looks great with a nice design and practical filter access. Unscrew the base and you gain easy access to the included filter. Remember to take it out of it's packaging before using the air purifier!Once done and plugged in, you have a row of touch sensitive buttons running around the middle of the unit. Power On, Fan Speed, Negative Ion Generator (more on that later). The touch buttons are extremely responsive and do what they say. When switched on the purifier defaults to the mid fan speed (Green colour). Press the fan button once and you increase the speed to max (Blue colour). Finally another press and you access the slowest speed (Yellow colour). Yellow is more than suitable in terms of noise levels to be able to sleep with and I find falling asleep with it and the white noise effect to be no problem at all.On the other side to the power button you have the Negative Ion button. Press this to turn this function off and on. However if you long press this button for a few seconds you can also disable the inbuilt blue night light which projects from the top of the unit where the purified air is expelled. The positioning of the night light in the actual fan is great as it is neither too bright or obvious. In terms of the negative ion function , it's hard to say if I've felt any effects from this. There has been quite a bit of research on the subject of negative ions and the reported benefits and indeed cons of them.Air is sucked in through the lower portion of the unit so I'd probably advise to have it raised slightly on a table/nightstand. That way you aren't directly sucking carpet dust etc from the floor into the filter and that way you'll hopefully get a bit of a longer lifespan from it.The one thing that's missing. A timer function! That would have been ideal as you could set it to switch off after a selected amount of time. I tend to like to do that when I have an air purifier on during the night, rather than have it going non stop from dusk till dawn.Other than that, I think this would make an excellent purifier for a kids room as it has a compact size, has a great subtle night light and the fact they normally have smaller rooms means it should have no trouble in cleaning the air.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 August 2021Good quality, simple operationThis is a well-built and effective air purifier. The air purifier has a clean design and easy operations. I have been using it in our medium-sized bedroom to help ease my pollen and dust allergy. I can certainly feel the change in air quality: it seems so much fresher. The touch-sensitive controls include power on/off, three adjustable speed settings (low, medium, high), a multifunctional negative Ion generator mode (if long pressed, turns the night on/off). In addition, an automatic filter replacement reminder (light at the top turns red) and easy machine reset steps to complete once changed. At the highest speed setting, it’s much louder, which is expected considering it’s cleaning up the air faster. The lowest mode is very quiet. I use this setting at night when going to sleep. I can feel the difference in the air quality after an hour of use however, I tend to leave it on continuously If I’m at home and turn it off when away.I can’t comment on the effectiveness of the negative ions setting however, as mentioned do feel a change in air quality using this air purifier. Negative ions are believed to produce biochemical reactions that increase the mood chemical serotonin levels, helping to alleviate depression, relieve stress, and boost our daytime energy. I trust that the function is doing its job.The filter has collected a fair number of particles after a few weeks of use. So it’s recommended to replace the filter every three months, depending on how often the air purifier is in use and the quality of surroundings. Changing the filter is very easy to do, simply by unscrewing the bottom base, removing the old one and replacing it with a new one. At the time of this review, Amazon has two pack replacements filters for £21.98, which is not a bad price in my opinion.Overall, it’s a good quality air purifier with a simple operation that helps elevate problems such as pet dander, allergens, smoke, cooking smells. However, it would be even better if it came with a timer function.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 August 2021Good and simpleIt is a compact, robust and well-designed purifier. Aesthetically it looks good too.In general it works well but be careful when using it for the first time. I connected it as soon as I received the package and it wasn't until some time later, when I opened the filter compartment out of curiosity, that I realised that the pre-installed filter was inside a bag. It is a good point that this filter comes protected to prevent contamination. This filter is easily reached by unscrewing the base.On the front there are several touch buttons (power, fan speed selection and negative ion generator), which work very well with a quick response. The last button has a double function, a short press is used for negative ions and a long press is used to turn on/off the blue night light on the top, where the air comes out. In this respect, negative ions, I can't tell if it works or not, difficult to evaluate. The default speed is the average speed. The higher the speed, the louder the noise, but it is not annoying even at full power. As I said, in general it works well but it lacks an auto-off or timer function for better control. Also, it doesn't include an air quality indicator, so you don't know if you should increase the fan speed or turn it off.The instruction manual is practical and straightforward. According to the instructions, the filter has a lifetime of 3000 h/6 months. The price is quite high at £60, although purifiers are not usually cheap. The current price of the filters (2 for £19) seems good.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 July 2021Seems to reduce hayfever symptoms and odoursMy teenage son suffers from really bad hayfever from April through to September - it can really make his life a misery. Therefore, when the chance to test this air purifier came up I thought that it was definitely worth a try to see if it could make him more comfortable - at least overnight. The air purifier has 3 speeds and the lowest one is really quite quiet, so ideal for night time, although the medium setting is also relatively unobtrusive. The blue 'nightlight' that comes on by default when the purifier is on can be switched off by long pressing the ion button which gets a thumbs up from him as he didn't like the light. So far my son has actually really noticed quite a difference in how he feels in a morning with his hayfever symptoms much reduced. Of course, this isn't a scientific test because we're not sure what he would have been like without it, however, his hayfever does seem quite bad at the moment when anywhere else in the house or outside so I'm tempted to think that it's the air purifier making a difference. It has also definitely reduced the teenage boy odour in his room so I'm happy about that!As for the 'negative ions'...well, I'm not sure what to make of that at all. I'm not sure that that's scientific in any way and we can't tell any difference whether we put that on or not. However, if you're after a relatively small air purifier to reduce hayfever symptoms then this little machine seems like it's doing a decent job.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 July 2021I absolutely love the air purifier, can feel the difference in the roomI have been looking into getting an air purifier for my daughter who suffers from severe asthma. Particularly in winter months with the colds & viruses, summer months pollen around. Anything from dust, smoke, our wet dog, pollen, the forest & on times even cooking which is also a trigger. ( which I do find strange but if this is what is needed I’ll give anything a try) I was looking for a Hepa filter not one that uses ions to purify the air. The ERGO LIFE (iDEER LiFE on the purifier) certainly fits the bill, it’s has 3 fan levels (just press the speed icon & your now able to change the speed) & I use the level 2 (middle level / green light ) during the day then have it at level 1 (yellow light) all night. At level 1 (yellow light) you can barely hear it. After just a few nights I could see that my daughter was sleeping better & it is immediately obvious that the air quality is better when you go into the room from outside. My daughter doesn’t coughs at night or wake up struggling to breathe. During the day theirs little to no sniffles, coughs & a big difference in how many times she takes her inhaler (I have noticed a big change in how many it used to be to how many time a day now) & her paediatrician is happy with her progress already. The ERGO LIFE purity has 3000 hours of use before you change the HEPA filter (which is approx 3 months for me) but the light will go red.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 July 2021Good for small rooms, currently playing liveLIVERemaining Time -0:00 Playback Rate1xChaptersChaptersDescriptionsdescriptions off, selectedCaptionscaptions off, selectedAudio TrackFullscreenThis is a modal window. The media could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported. This ERGO LIFE air purifier is a good and affordable investment for cleaner air indoors if you are using it for small rooms. To set up you only need to remove the packaging from the filter, place it back in and plug it in. Very easy. I also found the instruction manual straightforward. It also looks modern and not ugly which is a plus.It has a 3 stage cleaning system which filters the air to clean dust, pollen and other air pollutants. We like the idea of the function that produces negative ions that apparently help with metabolism and homeostasis. You can choose to use that function or not. The touch buttons are clear, you press one to increase or reduce the fan speed, to turn on or off the ion function and to turn the machine on or off. The colour at the top shows you if the filter is ok (blue) or it needs changing (red). The filter has a 3000 hour or about 6 month life span.It is good for smaller rooms that are up to 12 Square meters or 130 Square feet. That's actually quite a small space coverage. We have an average sized 3 bedroom house, and our bedrooms (which aren't very big) are about double that. So although it's a cheap air purifier in comparison to others in the market, it doesn't even cover an average bedroom (you can look up the average bedroom size UK and it's about 16m2). So in reality you'd need a few of these to cover the whole house, making it an expensive investment. Perhaps it is good for the study or a smaller bedroom but if you have bigger rooms you'll need a better capacity air purifier to cover that space. We decided to use it in the nursery which is small. It also isn't very "clever". It doesn't tell you how clean or polluted the air is and it doesn't stop automatically when it's done its job. So you just kind of have to hope it's done its job after a few hours and turn it off. That's probably fair given the price being so reasonable. It's quiet on the low speed that you could use for night time but a little bit louder in the higher fan speeds, but not annoying.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 August 2021Good low cost option with HEPA technologyOk so this isn’t necessarily going to win any design or style awards but it is a good low cost option for helping purifying and cleanse the air in your home. This Ergo life purifier uses HEPA technology to help remove the majority of airborne contaminants such as pet hair, pollen, smoke, dust etc. Don’t confuse this technology with being able to remove particles smaller than 0.3 microns such as viruses as this isn’t what it’s designed for and certainly not what it will be able to do. What it does however is help make the air in your home cleaner and therefore better for your health. These types of machines are great for allergy sufferers and are actually pretty effective at what they do.This offering is basic but does the job ok. A simple touch button on/off and 3 speed fan motor setting is pretty much all you get. No timer. No remote control. No night settings. It’s just the basic turn on and leave type of affair. What is good though is that it’s not overly noisy on the lowest setting so you can leave in the far corner of a bedroom without it disturbing your sleep if you wanted to. The fan intakes air in through the base, passes it through the HEPA filter and then ejects the purified ‘clean’ air back out through the extraction point at the top of the unit. All simple and basic stuff. We do have a couple of other purifiers in the home and whilst this one isn’t as sophisticated, for the cost it’s actually rather good. Replacement filters are dead cheap too which once again helps makes this unit a worthwhile investment if you are on a limited budget but still want a good solid option for your home.Nothing to dislike about this at all really. I can’t fault it and therefore recommend you consider it within your shortlist.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 July 2021A really good air purifier!Air Purifiers, True HEPA Filter, Negative Ions, 3 Stages Filter System, Filter Change reminder, for Bedroom Allergies, Smoke, Dust, Pollen and Pets Dander Remover Odor Eliminator (air purifier)This is such a good Purifier, I already had one that I purchased from amazon a couple of years ago, I thought it was good until I tested this one which is so much better....... But then again this one is more expensive compared to the one I purchased that cost me around £40 at the time.It has a 3 stage filter system and is equipped with a negative ion generator. There's an indication Light that will turn red to remind you when it's time to change and replace the filter, this happens after 3000hours of use....... But the filters don't come cheap as I've seen them for approximately £30, quite expensive to replace the filter!I'm finding this easy to use..... So when you turn it on it starts up on the middle speed, to turn it up to the high speed all you do is touch speed, the speed is lit up in blue, touch it again and it goes back to low speed and the light indicator will be yellow...... Once you get used to the colours of the light indicator you will know exactly what's what! This works very well at purifying the air, I've used it in all the rooms of our house! At night I have it on low in the bedroom. It's made very well and feels very durable and sturdy. When it's running you can hardly hear it as the noise level is extremely low. Here's the specs.....Consumption power - 15wNegative Ions - 3.0 million /cm3Applicable area - 12 Square meters / 130 ft squareOperating condition : temperature - 10°c-55°c humidity - 95% rh.I can reccomend this, it's on all the time in our house, always moving it from room to room.I'm impressed.Price is about right.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 July 2021Every home should have an air purifier!Ever since I got an air purifier, I've been raving about them to anyone who will listen! I get really bad hayfever and an air purifier will clear my nose up within minutes of being on. When I saw this, I had to send it to my best friend who has hayfever too, but also very bad asthma. She said the same as me - "is this placebo or is my nose actually clearer?" - she said her nose hasn't been this clear in forever and her breathing had also eased too. It's crazy how quick these work! It has 3-speed settings and you can choose if you want the negative ion producer on or off. The filter supposedly lasts 3000 hours and then when it needs replacing, a red light will come on which is a really handy feature to have and stops the guesswork. It also has blue lighting on top that might look nice in the evenings. As well as being good for hayfever and asthma, it is also great for dust, pet dander, smoke, mould, cooking odours, etc. Although it may not be the most attractive thing to look at, I think it's well worth having one in your home!
