- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 May 2019Waste of moneyThis might have been the most disappointing product I’ve bought off amazon. This does literally nothing for you. During the summer when it was very hot, my room was constantly boiling hot and very stuffy. I then proceeded to search for something to clear out my room a little. Installing a proper air con was to trouble some so I search for an alternative. This is what I found and I was very excited for it to come. The day it came I installed it and put it straight to the test. I had this machine blowing out the coldest air it could. Sitting in front of it you can feel a breeze but nothing of significance. Even after hours of blowing constantly, my room was still stuffy and very hot. A £10 electric fan from Argos would most definitely done a better job than this machine. If you are considering this product, stop. Do not waste your time with this product, I would not recommend anyone spending their hard earned money to buy this.

It is very high maintenance in terms of having to cool water and refill the tank and even with cool water it only seems to blow cold air for a very short time, then proceeds to make the room humid.I also experienced a horrible smell like some other customers and the water tank does NOT come out so the only way of taking out water is to pull out the little tiny rubber plug under the tank... Such a bad design all round. Return started!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 June 2019WATER TANK IS NOT REMOVABLEBought this in June 2018, it is advertised as having a removable water tank, this is very important to me as I have allergies, IT DOES NOT HAVE A REMOVABLE WATER TANK THEREFORE SHOULD NOT BE ADVERTISED AS SUCH AND IS AGAINST TRADING STANDARDS LEGISLATION FOR THE UK MARKET. My tank is currently bright green and unless I become a contortionist with very long thin hands and fingers it will stay that way, not amused.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 June 2019I nearly missed the on/off switch on the side!!!Love this product. Well boxed. Yup, does feel less than luxurious plastic used to build it. That's the only negative I've found. Had it up and running in about 30 minutes after screwing in the castors using the spanner provided. Put an ice pack in, filled with water and enjoyed the cool air. Just remember, it is not an air conditioner it cools the air sufficiently to make typing this more comfortable. Just a heads up, fan is a little louder than expected and I dropped one vfm star as it is a bit plasticky. Otherwise, really really good.

It keep all the external noise away which I love it.I write assignments in my room and the noise this machine makes is perfect for the purpose.It is not an air con so please do not expect cool air, but it really does refresh the room. I am really happy with it and am considering buying another one to take abroad as it was sooooo good, specially on that crazy hot Thursday 2019.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 August 2020Non-removable water tank leads to concerns of bacteria and fungal growth.With unprecedented heats this summer, the decision to purchase something that means what I would consider "Mid-Tier" levels of air conditioning.This was advertised as both a heater, humidifier and cooler with the ability to remove the water tank for appropriate cleaning.As others have mentioned within the reviews, the water tank is not actually removable as the pump is in fact screwed to the bottom with no access to actually detach it. After looking through the instructions I realised that the tank didn't have the feature advertised.The water tank quickly gathered algie and with that being the case a mild disinfectant was used to remove, however, you cannot easily access the filtered/pump section due to the tank being non-removable.The filter had to be unscrewed, then you will have to brave plastic cuts on your hand whilst you maneuver a sponge through the small gap. Drainage of the disinfectant was also problematic as whilst this has a rubber stop that can be removed to drain the non-filtered section of the tank, a lip sits between the filtered/pump section preventing appropriate drainage.The product is still used as a fan and it does this acceptably. The fan exhaust is deceptively small compared to the front, taking up about half the width of the unit. This renders a lot of the mechanical slats obsolete as air doesn't actually pass through them. Also, the slats creak and squeak (Remedied with some plastic safe lubricant like Lumar marine grade grease).Overall, the unit wasn’t worth the £89.99 paid for it and the advertising of the unit was false.I’m using this as a fan for a stuff storage room / home office so it does help a bit but I’d recommend putting some money towards a REAL conditioning unit that has the required features and tools to stay hygienic. This does not meet that bill.Oh and the dust filter on the back is screwed on…. Aggravation...
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 July 2021a godsend in the summer!Replacement for an older one - everything works great but you do need to use the remote control to adjust the mode (ie night sleeping mode), but no hardship there! Does have a switch to change from cool to warm depending on season, heat works good, but love it for the cool facility. I add water and icepacks (larger ones than those provided), put it on "cool" and enjoy the breeze, Doesn't work quite as well in excessive heat, but that is expected for an air cooler, it can't work miracles! lol Anion setting is good for my COPD too. Very pleased with my air cooler.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 August 2021Freezer packs splitThe machine itself does what it says but both the freezer packs provided with it split the first time they were frozen.No idea what they contain but assume that any manufacturer knows water expands when frozen so it can't be water.Not a good idea to have some unknown chemical leaking out so we swiftly threw them away.

- I can't get the water tank out to deep clean it, anyone got any tips?Dont think they come out, i just spray mine with disinfectant and wipes. Just dont leave water in it when storing it away. I soak up what water is left with a towel.
- where do you get replacement filters? cant find any on amazon and it cant be washed anymoreI cut them out of the filters sheet I use in my kitchen extractor fan, works a treat.
