  Powerful, but very noisy

  This is very good at what it does, but makes a real racket doing it.The compressor isn't too noisy, but the fan is. The two speeds seem to be "Fast" and "Very fast" so there is a significant rushing of air. I have had other portable air conditioners at a similar price and this is by far the noisiest.The sleep mode does nothing at all that I could tell to help with the noise level.Bottom line is that it's a very effective air conditioner, but could have really done with a slower speed setting for the fan to quieten it down at cooler temperatures when full blast isn't needed any more.Overall I'm happy with it, especially for the price, but just be aware that you might want to look for a model with more fan speeds.

  Looks good, small but its noisy came with filter missing just an empty bag, not sure how efficient it is yet at cooling as its not been hot enough, maybe more stars later

  Pretty decent AC unit

  Had this about six months now, my first AC, works brilliantly. Usually only put it on when it's above 25 oC and it brings my whole apartment down to 19 oC within an hour, less if you close all the doors. Cold air out the front, hot air out the window. I have the pipe poking out of a window, it would be better if I had a dedicated vent though, but not my place.Bit noisy, but I'd researched the inner parts and I knew what to expect. Works great as just a normal re circulation fan too if the temp doesn't justify turning the AC mode on. Haven't used the dehumidifier mode yet though.I can only sing praises of the unit. AC units are quite expensive, this one is on the lower end of that price range, but has the BTU of the higher end units.

  Rubbish Air con Unit

  Just blows normal temperature air, where is the 9000 BTU? My inventor 'cool' unit was a thousand times better but they are not selling it anymore, have to put up with crap like this instead.Hermes also delivered this thing with the contents all spilling out and a fan blade was broken at the front.Now i have to wait two weeks for my money to be refunded to even attempt to buy a new unit, no I'm not fkn happy , you wasted my fkn time. Who is more likely to have credit in the bank to float an air con refund while I buy another one? me or fkin Billion Dollar Amazon ? seriously fk off.

  Heavy, Noisy but Great

  Very heavy, not really mobile unless you are not using the AirCon as you need to vent out a window/holeCools my bedroom in around 10 minutes. The bedroom has a computer and tv in there that makes it very hot in the summer, so this is ideal to cool the room for sleeping.Not sure you could sleep with it on, VERY LOUD. 65dB

  Worth every penny

  got this before the hot weather came and has been worth every penny. In high speed its noisy but managed to sleep. Vent hose is very big and not that long but your not supposed to fit a longer one. Does not come with a kit to seal around the open window but got separately from amazon

  so so so worth it

  I actually bought this model from another site at £299 but can't leave a review there for some reason but absolutely needed to leave a review somewhere! This air conditioner is amazing. Coming from the states where I have quite high expectations for an air conditioner, I was so worried that this wasn't going to be up to snuff. Well, it is. I'm freezing sat in front of it, and it cools quite a large room so quickly. It isn't as loud as I thought it was going to be, and even less so on the lower fan option.The exhaust pipe is a pain in the butt to attatch to the machine but once you get it on it's fine, that's the only real set up you have to do. I wonder if perhaps people are thinking it's not cool enough because when it's on "auto" (this is what it turns onto automatically) its just a fan, you have to push the button to the snowflake only and then the refridgerant kicks in an it's as if you're stood in front of your fridge with a fan blowing out of it :)I honestly wish I hadn't put off buying an AC for so long, listening to all the people tell me it isn't worth it. Well it IS worth it, even if I just use it a handful of times a year because the cold that comes out of this baby is glorious.

  Lifesaver in the Heatwave! Exceeded Expectations!

  I finally caved and bought a portable AC for the summer, and the Pifco P40013 (or pifco 26340 as I've seen it called) has been an absolute game-changer. We live in a top-floor flat, and last summer was unbearable. This unit, with its 9000 BTU, cools our 25 sq m living room down from a stuffy 28°C to a comfortable 22°C in about an hour. The difference is incredible! The remote control is super handy, and the 24-hour timer means I can set it to kick in before I get home from work. The self-evaporating system is a huge plus – I've only had to empty the tank once in a month, and that was after a particularly humid week. Yes, it makes some noise, but it's a consistent hum that you quickly get used to, and it's a small price to pay for genuine comfort. Highly recommend!

  Good Cooling, But a Bit Noisy for Bedrooms

  This Pifco unit does a decent job of cooling our master bedroom (approx 20 sq m). The 9000 BTU is definitely effective, and the fan mode is great for just circulating air. I also appreciate the dehumidifier function, which has made a noticeable difference on damp days. The setup with the venting kit was straightforward enough, though getting the hose perfectly sealed in the window can be a bit fiddly. My main gripe is the noise level, especially on the higher fan setting. While the 'sleep function' does quiet it down a bit, it's still quite audible and took some getting used to for sleeping. For a living room or office, it's perfect, but if you're a light sleeper, be aware. Overall, a solid 4 stars for performance vs. price.

  Decent for Small Spaces, Venting Hose is a Pain

  I bought the Pifco P40013 for my home office, which is about 15 sq m. It cools the room adequately, bringing the temperature down by a few degrees. The fan and dehumidifier functions are a nice bonus. However, the venting hose is quite bulky and inflexible, making it difficult to position neatly out of the window. It also leaks a bit of hot air back into the room if not perfectly sealed, which defeats some of the purpose. The castors make it easy to move, but the overall footprint is larger than I anticipated. For the price, it's okay, but I wish the venting solution was more user-friendly. It's a 3-star for me because of the practical frustrations with the hose.

  Fantastic All-Rounder for Conservatory!

  Our conservatory used to be unusable in summer and a bit damp in winter. This Pifco 3-in-1 unit has completely changed that! The 9000 BTU cooling power is more than enough for the 28 sq m space, making it comfortable even on the hottest days. The dehumidifier function is surprisingly effective, keeping condensation at bay and making the air feel much fresher. I love the remote control and the programmable timer – I can set it to cool down the conservatory before we want to use it for dinner. The R290 refrigerant is a nice touch, knowing it's a more eco-friendly option. It's a bit heavy, but the castors make moving it around easy enough. Absolutely thrilled with this purchase!

  Good Value, But Check Your Power Bill!

  The Pifco P40013 offers excellent cooling for its price point. It quickly brings down the temperature in our open-plan living area (around 25 sq m). The fan has two good speeds, and the 'breeze mode' is a nice touch for gentle air circulation. The setup was fairly simple, and the included venting kit was comprehensive. My only reservation, and why it's not a 5-star, is the energy consumption. While it has an 'energy-saving sleep function,' running it for extended periods, especially during peak energy times, does make a noticeable difference to the electricity bill. It's effective, but be mindful of how much you use it if you're budget-conscious. Still, for relief from the heat, it's worth it.

  Perfect for a Caravan – Compact and Powerful!

  We bought this Pifco unit specifically for our static caravan, which can get incredibly hot and stuffy. It's absolutely perfect! The compact size (15.83 x 12.48 x 30.31 cm) means it doesn't take up too much space, and the 9000 BTU is more than enough to cool the entire living area and even spill into the bedrooms. The dehumidifier is brilliant for keeping that damp caravan smell away. The remote control is a must-have when you're lounging. The self-evaporating system is fantastic as we don't want to be constantly emptying water. It's a bit heavy to lift, but the castors mean we can wheel it into position easily. Best caravan accessory we've bought in years!

  Effective Dehumidifier, AC is Okay but Loud

  I primarily bought the Pifco P40013 for its dehumidifying capabilities, as my basement office gets very damp. On that front, it performs admirably, collecting a good amount of moisture and making the air feel much drier and healthier. The AC function does cool the room, but I find it quite loud, even on the lower fan setting. It's a constant drone that can be distracting during video calls. The temperature control is precise, and the timer is useful. The water full indicator and auto shut-off are great safety features. It's a good multi-functional unit, but if quiet AC is your top priority, you might want to consider alternatives. For dehumidifying, it's excellent.

  Good for Occasional Use, Hose Management is Tricky

  This Pifco unit is a decent option for those really hot days or when you need to dry out a room. The cooling is effective, and the fan modes are good. The dehumidifier works well. However, the exhaust hose is quite rigid and short, making it difficult to position the unit exactly where you want it without it being right up against a window. This can be an aesthetic issue and also makes it less portable in practice, despite the castors. The unit itself is quite heavy. For occasional use, it's fine, but if you plan on moving it frequently or need a very discreet setup, be prepared for some wrestling with the hose. 3.5 stars, rounded to 3.

  Solid Performance, Minor Gripes with Water Tank

  The Pifco P40013 delivers on its promise of 3-in-1 functionality. The AC cools effectively, the fan is powerful, and the dehumidifier pulls out a surprising amount of moisture. The R290 refrigerant is a definite plus for environmental consciousness. My only minor complaint is with the water tank. While it's self-evaporating most of the time, in very humid conditions, it does fill up, and the 'water full' indicator is accurate. However, emptying it can be a bit awkward due to its position and the size of the drain plug. It's not a deal-breaker, but something to be aware of. Otherwise, it's a reliable and powerful unit that has made our summer much more bearable. Good value for money.
