- Is my unit faulty. I have to keep emptying the water out even in cool modeThis model creates condensation so it needs to extract it from the unit. There are 2 drain outlets. One is the tray and there is a constent drain half way up on the rear of the unit. You should of received a pipe when you got your unit. I put mine on to the costent feed outlet and run it out of my back door.
