The new series of portable air conditioners have an Energy Rating of A, making them our most energy efficient air conditioners yet, allowing you to enjoy a cooler summer without having to worry about your energy bills. Not only has the energy efficiency increased, but we have also used the new R290 refrigerant making the air conditioners much less environmentally harmful.
Easy to use, move and control
The smaller, lighter and more compact MeacoCool is fitted with castors making it easy to move from room to room allowing you to feel cool throughout the day as well as enjoying a peaceful, cool sleep at night. The easy-to-use remote control (batteries not included) enables you to control the air conditioner as required without having to move.
Window kit included
The MeacoCool also comes with a window kit suitable for sash windows and sliding doors. However, if this kind of window kit is not suitable for your needs, a separate flexible fabric window kit that fits all types of windows is available from Meaco. The use of a window kit prevents warm air from outside entering the room, making the cooling more efficient.

It works fine. I also have another air con unit in the bedroom, and also just hang the vent on the handle, with the window slightly open, ofc. Again, no problems so far, in over a years usage. I do have vent fitting bits of plastic that came with both of the units, but I've been too lazy to drill any holes and mount them :) If I were to bothered, I would fix the plastic vent mountings to the upvc windows using screws, and have the windows slightly open, as I do currently. - Would the window kit work on a sash window?It only works with sliding windows so providing your slide, it'll work.
