The outdoor sensor-light L 810 S in form of an Up-/Downlight produces an impressive light upwards and downwards.
The purist design light with 9.8 W powerful LEDs generates a light with a luminosity of 679 lm and a light colour of 3.000 K. The energy-efficient LEDs do not need to be changed or maintained, since they have a lifespan of 50.000 h, which adds up top around 20 years of use. Therefore, choosing an LED light is a very economic decision.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 August 2021Good quality but expensive for the features you get and not good valueThese lights are really easy to install and look great, but I expected so much more in the way of features with the app, like being able to schedule on/off times maybe? What really lets this product down is the really poor design of the app, I wouldn't recommended it for anyone who is not tech-savvy. Also, the QR code in the instructions to install the app is a link to the wrong app (it's a Steinel app, but one designed to control their range of cameras, not lights). After a while trying to figure out how to get it to work, I searched the app store and found the correct one, only to be seriously disappointed with the way it works. I suggest you spend your money on Philips Hue instead.

However, after unboxing it today on arrival I'm pretty disappointed with the fact that this is a very 'plastic' product and not the aluminium/glass I'd expected. The Amazon page describes the manufacture material as 'Aluminium'. This is not correct - the version I have is a pretty cheap-feeling plastic - not great for an expensive product.Hopefully it'll look (a lot) better on the wall...

It lights brightly when the sensor is triggered and dims to an ambient light after a set time and also has a dawn to dusk sensor. I am pleased with this light both with the styling and the performance and it is an added security deterrent now the street lighting is less bright.

Gives good light and does exactly what we wanted it for.
