  Great lights but only 3 worked

  I have used the same design from another supplier before and are great as the solar charging works well and for a long time unlike some others. Spec is good with a low level night time light supplemented by the detector brighter one, The sensitivity is preset and is just right. (no complicated adjusters for darkness and movement sensitivity that takes ages to get right as with other security products). Only problem was 1 of the light units didn't work and the dilemma was send one back or all. The instructions do advise if not working out of the box to leave in daylight for a while to see if this charges it up but as I am familar with electronics I opened up the back used a battery charger instead as the battery was very low (note the rechargeable batteries used whilst AA size are not the usual 1.2 volts but specials at 3.7 volts hence the longer lighting capacity which is good.) But as it still wasn't working traced a poorly soldered wire (dry joint), resolderied and now working fine. Obviously not many will want or be able to do this as will probably invalidate any warranty. Note: In the 1 star reviews others have complained that a single unit doesn't work so there appears to be a quality control issue here but one of the reviews does report the company will send a replacement on request. But for the price great value .

  Nice units if they all worked

  My review would be much better if all the four units had worked but one just will not work. I did think the battery was flat but after 6 hours in direct sunlight it still won't work. I don't want to go to the trouble of returning all four units as 3 work fine. One to replace the faulty unit would be great but how do you report that only one out of four is faulty. Almost Impossible. A reaction would be great. No response to my comments so I have returned all four units for credit. I do like them so I may reorder.

  Would have been great if all 4 had workedThree were perfect one didnt work . Wanted to exchange 1 light but had to send all 4 back to get money . And then reorder. Looking at ithet comments seems usual for only 3 out of 4 to work doesnt instil confidence but like lights. Probably give it one more try *fingers crossed )

  Don't bother as 3/8 don't work

  I bought 2 x 4 packs a year ago. They've been kept in my garage (in their original boxes) up until now as I waited to have my garden patio laid before using them. I set them up 2 weeks ago and am really annoyed that 3 out of the 8 don't work. The ones that do work are pretty good but to have nearly 50% of them faulty is appalling. I feel robbed now. I wish I checked them when they first arrived. Silly me I trusted they would be ok but they are manufactured in China so I'm not at all surprised. I would avoid these at all costs.

  Good Lighting

  Love these lights. Just had new fence erected & couldn't wait to put them up. Photos don't do them justice. They are really bright when sensor is activated & a lovely subtle light on dimmer. Will be buying more for the rest of my fences as they really set the garden off.

  Just the Job.

  These lights are just what I wanted to go down my driveway. In darkness, they provide a discrete light until someone walks past and they come up really bright. Bear in mind that they are not floodlights so don't expect them to illuminate your entire garden. Also be aware that any solar light needs a bright day to recharge itself, so buying them in one of the greyest Decembers for years and with the shortest day of the year looming, was probably not the wisest thing to do! However, I'm confident that, as the days grow longer, they will fully charge themselves and give good service in future. I cannot comment on their battery life as only just purchased them.

  These LED solar lights promise a lot but are hopeless. They never survive the wet weather in this country and this is the second type I've have tried that say they are external use and weather proof. I have eight of these along my fence and only 3 continue to work and intermittantly. These 3 donlt even light up with motion and only after a full sunny day they decide to light occassionally (sun is rare in the UK and certainly Scotland of course!). Others all dead and rotten. What a complete waste of money. Not to mention the whole thing about solar, is to save on energy and be more env friendly. Now you have to recycle them into the trash and add some pollution from the materials and useless batteries in them. Product is not fit for purpose, certainly in the UK climate! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.

  Excellent little lights. Width of a wooden fence post, easy to fix with one screw.We only have a small garden, 2 each side lights up the lawn and the path to the summerhouse without being in your face.Trying to find places to fit more as they are quite impressive for a small unit.Not to be left out in the winter so must remember to bring them in.

  Nothing more to say than you won’t be disappointed.... bought some of these from a well known garden centre for £25 each some years ago... same make a quality now being sold on here so snapped them up .....

  Genuinely great lights, they maintain a constant light during the night and fully come on if the sensor is triggered. Installing took minutes and they are stylish and non bulky. I bought some more on the strength of the first batch
