- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 November 2018Nice sturdy lamp - but...The lamp and retail packaging was well packed and it is a nice sturdy lamp, heavily galvanized (literally dripping in zinc)...Still to fit but don't expect any issues.I would buy again.UPDATE AFTER FITTING 3 of these: I've dropped a star because the back box screws (the lamp body attaches to) are not captive AND are a little too short. It is really difficult to install the lamp body to the back-box... you have to fit the seals and washers then get the dome nut onto the too short screw which disappears into the fitting... on the first one I had to omit the washers. On the last one I hot melted the screws to the back-box so they would not push in, but still too short to get the but to engage easily. What should have taken no more than 10 minutes per lamp took much longer (30+ minutes). I still like these lamps, but the hit-n-miss fitting method and screws are unresolved basic design issues....
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 September 2018Small than average but well madeThe lamp unit is solid and well made, so thickly galvanised that it looks both genuine and like it will survive many winters. In terms of appearance, you either like this style or you do not so nothing to review here.My only niggle is that, despite the well-made, solidity of the lamp, the backing plate you screw to the wall is made of flimsy, flexible plastic! The result is that, to support the weight of the lamp, you'll need to either put 4 screws through the plate or (what I did) find the largest penny washers you can and use them to spread the weight over 2 screws. Even then, the lamp sags slightly due to the plastic flexing.** Read the description carefully. The lamp is exactly the sizes specified (no misrepresentation at all) but those sizes are somewhat smaller than your average outside wall-light. Mainly, this shows up in that it sits quite close back against the wall compared to other 'carriage-style' lamps.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 November 2018Very attractive and lights the area wellA good looking light at a reasonable price.Need to bear in mind though that the bright finish of the zinc platting will dull over time. I don't mind this myself but it is something to consider.I did have some minor difficulty screwing the light to its mounting using the nuts supplied. I would advise gluing the screws into the plastic mount component before attaching to the wall - to make this step a little easier.Over all very pleased.

They are sturdy, honest lights and being dipped to galvanise have shown no deterioration in the time they have been installed. The installation was not too difficult though the other reviews helped as we were prepared and able to take action to stop the final fixings being pushed back and hence difficult to engage. It took a couple of tries to get the correct light bulbs for our setting (we wanted warm white and strong enough to see by but not so strong the atmosphere was removed when eating outside) and in the end 4W (40W equivalents) from amazon worked brilliantly (I went for the vintage shape of Kohree ST64 E27) and am very pleased with the resulting ambiance. I am happy to recommend these lights and have purchased another for outside our back door.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 May 2019It’s ok, not perfect.The light looks pleasant enough, however the back plate is made of very brittle plastic, I cracked this screwing it to the wall.The glass has imperfections and the arm is loose resulting in movement if you touch the head of the lamp.Having said that, for £30 it’s on the wall and works, but if you’re expecting high quality and robustness, maybe look elsewhere
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 May 2020Brightens things upSome of my star ratings are lower than 5 stars due to the following points, when it arrived the lamp pole that sticks out was far from square and there was a dent to the front ( not enough to worry about) but the main gripe we had was that you only had rear entry access for the cable connection and no bottom up option. We overcame this bye stripping the cables back from the cable cover and taking a small amount of the mortar out the wall, the two connecting bolts that hold the front to back plate were secured in place with duck tape to prevent them moving backwards when fitting.

The lamp arrived within a few days, highly impressive considering current total shutdown in the UK. The lamp is solid, reinforced aluminium rather than stainless steel but it should last for years. The only down side, as per previous reviews, the screws provided are too short. Otherwise perfect. Thank you to the seller!

How wrong I was! The light is brilliant and equally as good as others I've seen at 3times the price! It is well made and very strong and I've no doubt it will last for years and years and...……

Do not hesitate to buy, it is a great price and you couldn't get a better looking light. My husband found it very easy to install. We are delighted with it, it looks amazing....

- What is the dimn. between the Centre of wall rose (need to drill wall to pass cable thro) & Bottom of the glass bowl.... to clear shutters below?Hi, the dimension is approx. 230mm or 9 inches (centre of rose to base of glass bowl. If you need to know, the rose is 125mm in diameter.
- What is the dimension between the top of the back plate and the very top of light, I need to fix this to a wooden backboard but there is a beam aboveAs best I can measure, it's about 55mm from the top of the back-plate to the highest point of the ring detail on top of the lamp. Hope this helps.

- Does the light have an on/off switch please?They don’t seem to have any but we got our electrician to wire 2 into a switch inside the house At the back and the other 2 work on a sensor at the front. Hope that helps.
