- Do have to use the rope for this to stay standing or is it sturdy enough on just the 4 metal legs? As we want to stand it on concrete not grass?Hi. This may cause snapping in the top section of the frame and this is also partly why the guy ropes and pegs should be used wherever possible. If you're using on hard ground you could assemble it near a fence and tie the ropes around part of the fence if possible or do you have large, heavy objects such as a garden bench, garden storage box, shed? etc Cheers Shaun Bird see less
