The gazebo and sides are completely waterproof. It will withstand light rain and downpours. The frame is matte black, rust-proof and powder-coated steel with support struts for added stability. Setting up this gazebo is simple, it has no poles that snap into place, just pull the legs out and put the roof over the frame (first time only, the roof can be left on for future use) raise the legs as far as desired height (3 height settings with at least 7 feet of clearance around the edges at max height setting) and then lock them into place, it really couldn't be easier and only takes a few minutes.
