- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 June 2017Not waterproof, and not collected. The item arrived on time, put it up on Sunday, fitted lovely but today Weds it was raining and the rain was running through the material, the gazebo was not waterproof and inside is wet through, I was going to put a spa under this but now I have to make alternative arrangements.I can't even take it down yet as it is wet, so will be looking to return this item.In addition to this I have now been waiting 3 days for Hermes to collect the item, not good service at all.Still not collected now nearly a week later.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 August 2017Such a let down, waterproof you have to be kiddingunfortunately this was not worth the money i paid and will be returning for a full refund, definitely not water proof as stated, erected just after arrival looked good at first but quickly went down hill, it didn't matter we had read the warning paper that we should make sure nothing was trapped before erecting the gazebo the top would not extend up, taking the cover of and starting again still resulted in the top not extending up, we persevered as we had guest arriving, we would work out later why the top would not extend. within 30 minutes it started to rain, just the reason we purchased it for, sat out under the gazebo guest started to get wet, they were sat under the holes in the cover to let the water of the cover!! it was not because it was not fully extended, rain was coming in from all over the top of the gazebo especially but not just from the Velcro fasteners, it was appalling such a big let down from what at first looked a good piece of kit as it included bags for the leg weights as well, this is not a product i would recommend,
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 August 2016Let down by some aspects - but MUCH better than B&Q alternatives at similar priceOK, we've had this (White 3m x 3m) up one wet night, here's my thoughts:+ Compared to the pathetic £100 B&Q gazebo I purchased, spent an hour assembling and then 30mins immediately disassembling and returning to due a) bad design and b) extreme flimsiness, this Gazebo is streets ahead. It took me wife and I 15mins to get it up, a further 10mins to put the windbars, guide ropes and foot bags up. Feels much more sturdy than the B&Q one due to the design of the pop-up frame, is also much smaller and ligher when packed up.+ White canopy looks great against our white-walled house+ Plenty of options around which 'walls' go on which sides+ Mostly waterproof, keeps the rain out but expect the odd drips inside after a prolonged shower. It's let down by the following:- It's not 100% waterproof - I'm yet to find a gazebo that is, the B&Q one certainly wasn't waterproof either- No instructions around how to attach leg weights, I think you just wrap them around the legs, velcro them up and use the bottom eyelet to pin to the feet, but I didn't feel these worked very well- Side wall attachment (velcro) aren't great, can leave gaping hopes between the legs and the side wall canvas- Generally feels the manufacturer is aiming for high-production one-off sales and not after-service nor product longevity, I would feel better if the Gazebo instructions included a website where you could order spares for any part (with metal alternatives to the plastics)- I'm not sure how long it'll last - I doubt the plastic components will withstand much abuse, and I felt I had to really stretch the roof canopy during fitting, which can't have helped the waterproof elements and feels like it could easily rip after a few more attachments.I don't intend to leave this up all summer, it'll be erected for specific occasions then taken down the following morning - I don't think this would last very well outside for x weeks at a time. I just hope it can survive the pop-up/pop-down process a couple of times a month during the summer - I'll update if/when I see a failure.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 August 2017AVOID - DO NOT BUY2 hours after a very easy setup on Saturday morning the heavens opened and the rain came down and straight through the gazebo like it wasn't there. The cardboard boxes were ruined, the plastic boxes slowly filled with water and the bags were sodden. In the end, anything we did value we put into the van and kept the lids on everything else (occasionally taking them off because they too were filling with water). Foam inserts on the tool kits were also water logged. My sleeping bag and travel pillow were rendered useless by the lack of protection the gazebo afforded. In the end it was taken down (admittedly very easy) on the Sunday and while taking it down I took a couple of pictures of the build quality - it appears one of the supports had cracked and a couple of the others were looking stressed. In a couple of places the stitching was very poor - I took a photo of a particularly bad section. It wasn't windy - we hadn't needed to weigh the gazebo down so I can only imagine that the damage was done during setup or teardown - but that was so stress free I can only put it down to a sub standard part.Final words: This is not waterproof in the slightest, do not buy.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 July 2017unhappy customerAirwave 3x3mtr Pop Up Waterproof Gazebo in Grey with 2 WindBars and 4 Leg Weight Bags I rarely write reviews or leave feedback but making a formal complaint this time - although I'm sure there are lots of happy customers. For me however on opening and setting up for the first time:- roof leaked in 2 places, one in the middle and back left (not the holes)- righthand side upper supports were bent- leaky roof = not waterproof- only 1 molded windbar clip- the top didnt full clip into place- item was also 1 day late which defeats the idea of Primebased on other feedback on this same item - i strongly believe that the one i received was just poorly made, potentially damaged in transit or just the odd one which had lower quality manufacturing. box was in good condition so no obvious signs of foul playplay provide some support here!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 July 2016Very disappointed,if I had of reviewed this product straight away I would have given it 5 stars. It looks good, easy to put up and delivered on time. However having owned it for just over a month it can only be 1 star. It is up in our fairly sheltered garden, and despite having the wind braces fitted, guide ropes and sand bag leg weights, 2 of the main upright legs have creased and split/cracked in the mildest of winds. Definitely not what I would expect from a product that isn't put up and down constantly, so no wear and tear that way. Definitely not had any high winds to cause it.I would be returning and asking for a refund if they company would reply to me.I believe these were great products in the past, but are now made cheaper and are of a lesser quality than those that have given it 5 stars a year or so ago.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 June 2016This Gazebo Is Not Fit For Purpose. So disappointed. I have spent hours with this gazebo trying to make it look good and a fit for purpose quality product. The pop up frame is good and well engineered. The material is good quality. It's lack of detail that lets this product down. The side wall are held in position with Velcro strips, the number of strips across the horizontal fixing is just about adequate. There are insufficient vertical fixing strips at the corners, this means it's impossible to prevent gaping gaps. There are four tapered strip of corner material that comes from the canopy that is there to presumably cover the upright frame and any gaps, whilst these strip are adequate at the top, it tapers down to a mere 25mm. Other than two small hooks near the bottom of these strips there is nothing to secure them. The end result is that the gazebo is far from water tight and it looks very shabby. Double the number of Velcro strips and add some strips to the tapered corner material would transform this gazebo into a quality product.Ps there is no way of securing the bottom of the side wall so that have to be left to flap around.Finished.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 September 2017Used extensively for more than 2 weeks straight and it stood up to all weather with no problems!Like other reviewers, I too was doubtful but took comfort from the fact that the vast majority of reviews were 4 and 5 stars.Having tested it thoroughly, it is a perfectly decent product. I used this as a temporary kitchen for more than 2 weeks whilst our new kitchen was under construction. It stood up firmly to some fair wind and plenty of rain without any problems. Erected as per the instructions including the cross braces, sand bags and guy ropes and pegs this is solid and never budged and inch the whole time. In addition our garden has a fair slope it even stood firm on uneven ground. It was a life saver to be honest. Couple of minor faults in the material and the stitching could be better - but considering the cost - I'm OK with that. There are some eyelets in the roof and they do allow some water. Just be mindful of that and you can have a great time despite our weather. I'm sure I will get many other uses out of it - inc Halloween and Bonfire night etc.Possibly those that had it crumple, blow away etc did not erect properly or secure it properly. It's a large sail after all so it will move unless secured. Do it properly and it will be fine.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 August 2017Not a good buyI bought this Gazebo for a party on the 27th July. Sadly I bought it on the 13 of June - to be organised - I can no longer return it and cant find contact details to complain! I opened the box the night before the party. The Carry case was ripped and has red paint on it - this I can live with. The Gazebo went up nice and easily, however it also came down easily. The first rain shower of the evening the side struts snapped and the whole Gazebo collapsed. This product is a waste of money and not fit for purpose. I spent £99 pounds for less than 10 minutes use. Buyer beware
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 July 2017Weight bags a waste of time! The product went up fairly easily although attaching corners and edges with the velcro is a little poor but it does the job. For me the confusion is how to attach the weight bags (which I foolishly thought came weighted!) I did pose the question for help with this and Amazon contacted the suppliers who never replied...neither did any owner which is annoying really so take note it is hard to work out how to attached the weight bags and still velcro the sides on...in fact impossible is the word I would use! Unless you leave the sides off...
Customer questions and answers
- Are the sides canvas? This item is not waterproof in the slightest - Its made from a very light nearly see-through fabric.
- It may seem odd but I'm using the gazebo for a project at Uni. Does the inside of the material have a shiny finish at all? I know the windows will. Now you are testing my powers of observation!! My gazebo is stored away for the winter but as I recall the material is quite smooth but not shiny. As you say, the windows are shiny plastic. I took flash photographs in it without any problems with glare, Hope that is helpful.
- i want this to fit in mypatio but my patio doors open out so i was wondering about the height before it goes up to a point ?I have sliding doors 80cm high, gazebo is right against it and is 20cm higher but can still go in and out because the doors slide open, hope this helps.
