  Could have a better quality pole.

  Size wise this is perfect, it covers my 180cm x 100cm table and chairs and if there is light rain no one gets wet.Not great in a wind but I expected this because of it's size. It does not come with a base and the one Amazon recommend would be useless as it's too light. I got a 40Kg 60cm diameter base from Ikea and its the correct size for it. Only issue I have had is that its very easy to crush the pole when you tighten the thumb screw on the base, obviously this needs to be quite tight to stop it turning but because it is a smooth pole (not ridged) it is easy easy to crush, in my opinion a parasol this size should always have a ridged pole for strength. It does the job I needed it to do but I would of been happy to pay more for a higher quality one.

  Parasol is fine but ridiculous that they do not recommend a base. I bought one, same weight as recommended, but it didn’t fit. I can’t order another because size of pole is important and not specified.Don’t buy this item unless they say which base to buy with it.Dumb, dumb, dumb.

  Absolutely thrilled with this parasol

  This parasol is huge! I wanted one that would shade 2 sets of patio doors but didnt think I'd find anything close. On arrival we were really pleased that there was no assembly as such, apart from putting the poles together. After finding the best angle to shade the area, we bought a set of rotary line support inserts, found the best fitting one, removed the slabs, inserted the tube, cut the corners from the slabs and put the giant up. Tada! No need for any special and expensive base to support the parasol. Despite what I'd read on a few reviews, the bag supplied fitting perfectly with some room to spare.If you're looking to shade a bit more of your garden/patio than what a large parasol can offer, then you can't go wrong with this.

  Couldn’t get it to go down

  I’m afraid this is broken for the one I bought. It went up a dream, ok to put together and the packing bag perfect but just could not get it to go down at all, the middle and one side would go but not all of it together. After hours of trying we cut the strings and packed it away so now it’s completely broken and in the skip. Couldn’t be bothered fighting to see about a return so I will just call it a loss. Had to buy another base to fit the wide pole too which wasn’t straightforward

  The material and workmanship of this parasol is very poor Quality ,flimsy stitching, when you finally get it up evenly it feels that a gust of wind will tear the stitching. You also need 3 people to open it evenly as the crank does not perform as you would expect, ie 1 on the middle crank and 1 person either side of you for them to guide the other 2 pulley strings evenly. I tried to return this item and was offered a £12 refund, when I refused this offer I was told I have to make my own arrangements and that I have to pay for transport and postage. I have now cut my losses and accepted the £12 and stored the boxed parasol in my garage. Steer clear, customer services nil !

  No base

  It does not came with the base so was a bit despaired as I did not realize that try to use could not do. Please advise what is the best base for it.

  Have sent purchase back to seller as instructed, at my own expense as requested. As you can see very poor quality. I would not recommend. Waiting for a refund, very poor customer service, i am made to feel like this is all my fault, the company are not very helpful.

  I liked it so much I recommended it to my friends. You need a heavy base, so I bought a sand bag weight to add to my parasol base. It’s perfect.
