  Great value, looks nice, fast delivery

  Great garden parasol. Really good size for a six seater table as parasol has a large span. Tilt mechanism is also a big bonus as it means you can always keep the heat off as the sun moves around during the day. I deducted one star for the crank mechanism as it’s the only bit that’s a Little cheap feeling and sometimes when winding , the parasol gets stuck a needs a little nudge. But it’s really not a big problem and has caused no issues so far. Overall the parasol is a brilliant addition to any garden and I highly recommend it.

  Can't wait for the summer

  I ordered two parasols 2 days ago to replace two that were 16 years old. Parasols arrived today (earlier than advertised) well packaged and in good condition. Easy to assemble parasol section just clicks onto base pole. The crank handle to raise the parasol runs smoother on both parasols than my old ones, so very easy to raise and lower. Quite blustery today so I would not usually raise the old parasols, but raised these to see if they stood up to a bit of breeze, they did. These cost around 30% of the price of ones that I'd looked at recently at local garden centre and put up/down to trial, so I hadn't expected the quality of these much cheaper ones to be similar let alone better. A pleasant surprise. Would definately recommend these

  Overall reasonable value for money

  I got this to replace the one we'd had for well over 10 years. This one seems similar in weight and quality. The posts are made out of powder coated metal. The winding handle seems sturdy the tilt button works well. All very similar to my old parasol although I'm not sure the canopy is quite the same quality. The material is a little thinner as you can see the weave, so not sure if the UV protection will be as stated. Having said that, it's not as if we're on the beach sunbathing. We use it just for barbecues and relatively short periods of time anyway. Also, unless I'm mistaken I don't think the diameter is 3m. More like 2.1 - 2.2m would be my estimate, which was similar to my old one. All in all it's probably what I expected for the money I paid. It'll spend most of the summer permanently outside come wind rain or shine until I put it away for the winter. So I guess I'll find out whether it was worth it by September'ish.

  Blew over

  Delivered promptly , however not sturdy, it was a UK windy day recently in July and it toppled my 12kg base It seems lightly too tall which contributed to the topple. Would not feel safe to leave up in garden while I wasn’t there. Also I since saw the same make in Homebase for £35 Disappointed as I like the grey colour and would have bought a second one

I don't like the sofas with a hood, and so got one without and this to shade me instead. Its so much better for allowing you to get the breeze on a hot day, instead of stifling under a hood. This blocks out a good degree of light - I am extremely pale and have sun allergy and its protected me fine the last few really sunny days! We bought one of the spikes that screws into the ground which is working much better than a heavy base too. The pictures show how much you can see through it. It happily shades a 3 seater sofa and loungers for the best part of the day as the sun moves round. Great value parasol!

  A good product at a good price

  I was impressed by the build quality and design quality of this product. It is lightweight without being flimsy. This item was purchased to replace a previous parsol. The previous one had a heavyweight canvas shade that made it top-heavy and awkward to put into the base. This one is a strong lightweight material, like a rain umbrella, and is eay to handle. The previous one had a composit materail pole, large and heavy, that snapped in the wind. This pole is lightweight metal; it is not going to snap, and it is not going to bend. The main beauty of this one is the 'wind up' mechanism. Works a treat. It makes opening and closing the umbrella effortless and safe. My wife can open this one, she could not open the previous, unasisted, one. As an extra: at the pussh of a button the top tilts over, which is useful with a low sun. This is a really impressive product.

  Grossly overpriced

  Adequate, but not worth the money, definitely a rip off. You can get a 3m one for 1/2 the price at Ikea & elsewhere. Surprisingly doesn’t even come with a loop to hold material down which I thought was standard even in cheap models

  Seems OK. Nice colour. Crank handle and push tilt button easy to operate and not stiff as ive seen with other umbrella reviews. Big size too so might need to get a bigger base .

  I bought a second one!

  Ideally such parasols (any make) are used on a substantial table and secured/keyed to a base, whether it is the base of the table itself or a substantial “stand alone” base. This is not a “mini” parasol it is full sized. Any parasol will try to take off windy conditions. This is all metal and there are no wooden bits to break. The wind up device make use easy for almost everyone. The pic shows a substantial table and the parasol is keyed in at the bottom. An alternative is to bang a length (300mm) of standard scaffold pole into the ground and key the parasol into the top of this, together with passing through a table that could be slightly lighter weight. If the weather is that windy up you just have to wind it down. I would but another.

  Tilt unreliable.

  Very nice look in grey but on using the tilt mechanism for only the second time it just won't go back to normal. We are stuck with a tilted parasol and don't know how to rectify it . Cant even wind it down.
