I got the colour grey and it's lovely! Suits my garden amazingly!This was absolutely perfect for me as you can adjust the angle of the parasol. The cross base isn't in the centre of the parasol meaning I can use this for my outside table without having to drill a hole in the middle of it!It's a good size too! And definitely works well in the sunshine! I've not yet used in the rain but the material is strong and seems waterproof when I tested it out!Would highly recommend and in my opinion is great value for money.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 October 2021Easy to put together and operate, looks greatMy mother-in-law dropped lots of hints that she liked our older garden parasol - we have two, in different parts of it - and that maybe she might like it when we didn't need it any more. As she tends to do...A little while later, we decided that we wanted a bigger parasol (to cover the whole of our outdoor table and chairs) with a better base that would keep it upright in windy conditions, as anything with a circular base would eventually topple over - and risk damage.This looked like what we wanted. The right colour, size and - importantly - a bigger 't-shaped' metal base to support it when in use and when closed up. It was surprisingly easy to put together and took under 10 minutes to put the base together and then connect up the parasol / arm unit together. It has a really clever 3-point mechanism (up/down, forward/tilt, higher/lower) which means you can put the parasol up - and, importantly - close it down in a few seconds. The mechanism folds up so that it doesn't have a much bigger footprint than a normal parasol (excluding the base) and you can use a normal cover rather than having to buy something more bespoke.Looks great, easy to use and adjust, shades a large area, easy to pack and away and cover up, sturdy base - very happy with it.

Its very easy and quick to assemble and as easy to put away again for next time. It seems very sturdy although I did use marquee weights as a precaution. Overall a very good buy for my garden. 8/10.

Trying to make use of it and having family bbqs galore! But… we are all plagued by the red hair gene and thus shade is important for us!! Was simple to whack up and does exactly what it needs to do!!!

- It looks square in the pic, but says 6 ribs?Hello, the photo may look like square due to the angle of the shot, but it is actually hexagonal, best regards
- Does the cross base come off as have a real heavy duty base already?There are two bottom cross bars and the main parasol base bolts on to the bars and then you drop the parasol down into the bolted base. You can’t do with it what you are asking. I had to buy a sand bag to put around the base as there is no other way to secure the parasol
- Does it come withbaseYes, a cross base included
- Is the included cross base enough or is an extra weighted one required? And how good is it with rain ?It needs a weighted base from the description. I haven’t unpacked mine yet so I don’t know how well it does in rain. It suggests it’s ok against showers but for storing it longer term, I bought a rain cover.
