Won't buy again though as this company uses Hermes to deliver and I've had nothing but trouble with them delivery was well overdue I had to chase them up and they really didn't want to know , they won't even answer a message sent to them through PayPal , when I went on Hermes live help I gave them the name of this company and the telephone number and ask if they would find out what was going on they said no they would pass it on to there manager which in turn would take an extra 10 days . So I had to follow this up myself the parasol company was good and look in to it and I now have it , but sorry in future anyone delivering through Hermes I won't buy from as I don't want a repeat of this . Update this isn't a one off either I have a parasol base bought from Groupon that is lost somewhere at this moment in time to and guess who is delivering it yes Hermes .

Do not buy one of these unless you want to waste your money. Refund has been refused, all they offer is advice on how to fix the problem. The only solution I can see is to fix it with a new one, it is beyond repair. In future I'll go to a garden centre and buy a product that I can inspect properly. From the picture this product looks sturdy but don't be deceived; it is flimsy. I only gave it 1 star because 0 stars is not an option if you want to leave a review but this is a zero star product. Be warned!!!!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 April 2015Excellent sun shadeExcellent sun shade, I had one previously and these sun shades definitely require the weights to make it secure should there be a gust of wind.I also added some silicone around the joint above the winding mechanism this will prevent water entering and causing problems at a later date.

The weight required to anchor the base to ensure that it mains upright is too much for me to move. A good product for the right garden.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 June 2015Read the finer print detailFirstly its good value, The headline says Parasol Aluminium , BUT the detail then goes on to says aluminium pole The truth is both poles are aluminium the rest is coated steel with heavy duty plastic joints,[Try a fridge magnet], So if you live near the sea , [as I do], it will not last as long , Fortunately I was able to use expanding bolts on the smaller base directly in to the concrete yard which looks realy neat,Overall very pleased Deliver time very good , [Heavy duty expanding bolts,are not screws]

- Does this come with a cover? Does it discolour if left out over the winter? and what are the dimensions of the slabs to use with it? 65kgNo cover supplied, it would not be wise to leave it out as the wet and damp would not be helpful to the canopy and cord on winding mechanism. I do not use slabs so cannot comment, I purchased the weights specially made for it also purchase on Amazon. Weights are definitely required for this canopy. Hope this helps.

Thank youThis is quite a large parasol whilst the cross base stands about 45 mm height, you will have to use a counter balance weight of some sort or it will be very unstable ,I bolted mine down to the concrete and did away with supplyed base you could use concrete slabs but I had no confidence in them
