- Please could you confirm what is required for the base unit for this product. Currently have a traditional cast iron base but not sure if that works.A Cast Iron Base is fine - just check that the hole in the base for the pole is at least 4 centimetres (1.5/8 Inches) diameter.

- Do you need a base for a table umbrellaYes, we found the umbrella to be great quality but unstable, eg top heavy. definitely needs a base even when standing thru a hole in your table.
