The colour is as described/shown in the pictures and the parasol is of excellent quality. I have it on a heavy-duty wrought iron base (standing alone, not inset in a table) and it is sturdy enough to stay up in a strong breeze, as long as the top is not tilted. The lights came pre-charged. I haven't used them a lot yet so don't know how long the charge lasts for or how long they take to recharge. This parasol is a bargain for the price.
