Though the tables stand well and are balanced, I don't think the table would take extreme weight. Enough for tea things, potted plant etc. but nothing really heavy. see less

Are the dark table tops solid wood as advertised or MDF as stated in the reviews?
I only have the light colour, they are MDF but laminated in a wood effect.

Does it require any tools for assembly?
You need just a screwdriver, this is to fix on the brackets for the legs. Fittings are included and holes pre-marked.

Are the two tables placed inside a package?
Yes, and you have to put the legs on.
