- Overall width is stated as 48cm. Is this correct? Need actual widest part of chair measurementsHi, I've just measured ours, and the widest part is where the back of the seat merges into the base of the back (it's a one-piece moulding, of course). I make it 48.4 cm. Hope that helps. LaurieM

If that gets you nowhere, I would suggest finding a local upholsterer, who may be able to re-upholster the existing base for you. Taking that to the next stage, you could, of course, look into having the whole set done in a tougher material (e.g. real leather). Not a cheap option, but the rest of the chair seems quite sturdy, so it would probably be cost-effective in the long term. Good luck! see less
