    Customer questions and answers

    • Hi, i would like to run the cable up a pipe to a lantern which has a 15mm internal diam. Are the cables supplied able to be removed either end?
      I don't think so
    • Hi. how does it switch on and off? does it have an ir sensor?
I fitted this into a Japanese lantern and mounted the solar panel on the fence. It works well, turning on at dusk and goes off when the battery is exhaused some time in tbe small hours. Whether the sensor is detecting IR I rather doubt, it just apears to work on ambient light.
    • Can you buy replacement bulbs for this?
Yes, it’s got a standard ES Led bulb.
    • Thinking about this for a hen house in the winter, how long does it stay lit for?
This depends on the amount of sunlight the solar panel has, the orientation and where in the country you are. I am in the south of England, the solar panel is mounted 2.5m high on a bracket angled at around 45°. This lights up when dark and over this dull weekend just gone lasted around 3 hours.
