ARITAYAKI. It is a kind of porcelain, developed due to the discovery of colorful, in particular red decoration by Sakaida Kakiemon at the beginning of the 17th century. It was exported from the port of Imari, therefore called IMARIYAKI as well, and exercised a powerful influence on European ceramics. Delft pottery in the Netherland was one of those influenced by ARITAYAKI.
