- What’s the difference between this and Contigo Auto Seal west loop?There's a big difference in the locking mechanism. The west loop mug uses a much larger and differently positioned spring. After less than a month, my West loop spring snapped and the mug would not close. I've had the transit mug for almost 4 years and had no issues with it at all. Much sturdier spring design
