- Can you open the doors and insert a few small real logs for more realism?The doors do open the controls are behind them.. I think it would be difficult but not impossible to put some small logs inside. But to be honest it looks lovely and guite realistic as is.. I love the flame effect on this fire looks really cosy.

- Is it a long fireI'm sure you meant LOG. It has 2 large log effects to the back and appears to have small coals or black charcoals to the front. It has 3 settings 1 display only, 1 display with half heat, and 1 with full heat. I hope this answers your questions
