You can not use it freestanding. Miss sold by company. Do not buy it. They will not refund your postage if you return it.

what is the thickness of the frame, ie... the dimensions of fire without the frame. Thank you
Sorry can't help with that one as mine is fitted with frame. To try and help I have measured the frame 2.3 cm deep x 5cm wide. Hope that helps a little.

is it silent running ?
Its only silent if you just have the flame effect on. No noise at all. Its as noisy as a fan heater can be when you want heat. Warms room up quickly though till central heating warms up.
