Customer questions and answers

  • Are the logs a picture on the glass or are they a 3d log shape with lighting underneath?
They are plastic and look so false. They stand out in front of the flame and look ridiculous. I can’t tell you how disappointed I am with this fire and I can’t return it as we had to cut off the plug to install and not in Prime.
  • Does it give off much noise?
Basically no it doesn't, not excessive anyway. You get a small amount of noise, just audible if you listen very hard when the flame effect is on, but to be honest that is being picky and of course when the heater is on you do get the noise from the fan which is louder on 2 kW than 1 Kw as it is spinning faster but that… see more Basically no it doesn't, not excessive anyway. We are delighted with this fire and mainly use the flame effect for just that, the effect and rarely use the fan heating, I don't think you will be disappointed if you purchase one, we certainly weren't. see less
  • where exactly does the heat come from , and is it really good enough to heat a 16 foot roon
The heat comes out from underneath the heater so you will want to mount it a foot or so from the floor or even higher. 2kw should be ample for a 5m x 3m x 2.3m high room with a couple of windows. By the time you add some heat from bodies and TV etc you should be OK. By the time you add some heat from bodies and TV etc you should be OK. The heater looks really good with very realistic flame effect. The fan on low speed is audible but that should not intrude too much if you have the TV or radio on or you are in conversation. I think the heater is very good value for money and looks good in my newly refurbed lounge, though I don't rely on it as my primary source of heat as I have a central heating system. I hope this helps you. see less
