NEW 16" inch (40cm) Inset Electric Fire with Coals and Heater. This a New product , made for us in the United Kingdom. It is based on a previous design, and comes with a Two (2) Year warranty. This Electric Fire is designed to fit a standard 16" inch; 40cm fire back. This means it is tapered at the back . With some fire backs there may be a slight gap at the very back of the fire, but this can be bridged with the loose coals supplied. Width at the back: Approx 10 inches (9 7/8"). Approx 25cms Depth : Front to Back: 8 1/2 Inches . 22cms Width at the Front: 15 1/2 Inches. 39.5cms Height to the top of Front Fixed Coals: 8 inches. 20 cms The effect will brighten up your fireplace and can replace a coal fire., there is minimal fitting required. Just set it up and plug it in. Comes with a Kettle lead connection. That fits at the back of the fire. You can use the Electric fire in the summer and at Christmas to go back to a real coal fire. Please note when using the fan heater that is underneath the fire , if there is an ashpan cover on the fire front IT must be removed. Heat output is 2kw and it has a 1KW setting as well. The light effect can be used without the heat if required.

- Does the fire basket taper at the backYes it's a lovely fire and i got in touch with the seller to send me more coals which he did willingly free of charge a super seller and the fire does taper at the back regards pam
- Is the front brass included?The brass front isnt included. If you search for fireplace frets that should show a range of options. You will need one that is relatively flat at the front and has a large, removable ashpan cover - the cover must be removed if the fire is being used as a heater (OK to leave in place if just the decorative effect)
- Does this item come with a remote control?No, there's no remote control, just 3 switches on the front - one for the flame effect only and the other two for different heat settings.
- Can you replace the fan heaterI really do not know. I sure hope so ..... the fire is great.. looks so realistic. But def needs more coals. ..
