  • Is this supposed to swing about when it's up. It sways on the breeze and is not very relaxing. It's firmly weighted at the base.
    Ours swings a lot too. We got some short bungee chords with hooks at the end and hooked one onto each side of the parasol from the 2 closest bits of the frame in the umbrella bit and then hooked them together around the main vertical part of the frame. We find this helps to hold it in place and has greatly reduced the swinging in the wind. However, this model is not designed to withstand more than a light breeze which is a little frustrating. see less

  • How does the parasol rotate?
    It rotates and revolves as you would anticipate from the illustrations. There is a lever handle intended to hold it in place. An aspect that is not clear is the need to have it tethered down very firmly. I used heavy duty tent screws into the ground attached to the base with wire.
