- Is this supposed to swing about when it's up. It sways on the breeze and is not very relaxing. It's firmly weighted at the base.Ours swings a lot too. We got some short bungee chords with hooks at the end and hooked one onto each side of the parasol from the 2 closest bits of the frame in the umbrella bit and then hooked them together around the main vertical part of the frame. - How does the parasol rotate?It rotates and revolves as you would anticipate from the illustrations. There is a lever handle intended to hold it in place. An aspect that is not clear is the need to have it tethered down very firmly. I used heavy duty tent screws into the ground attached to the base with wire.
