But there didn't seem to be much point doing so, because it would make the parasol even more unstable in any wind, and that it was much safer to use in the horizontal position. So I forgot about putting it at an angle, and packed it away until we have better weather. Sorry not to be more helpful. see less
- Does this come with a cover? Does it discolour if left out over the winter? and what are the dimensions of the slabs to use with it? 65kgNo cover supplied, it would not be wise to leave it out as the wet and damp would not be helpful to the canopy and cord on winding mechanism. I do not use slabs so cannot comment, I purchased the weights specially made for it also purchase on Amazon. Weights are definitely required for this canopy. Hope this helps.

- Does anyone know how high the bars are on the base? I ask because we want to know if it will fit under the outdoor corner sofa we have. Thank youThis is quite a large parasol whilst the cross base stands about 45 mm height, you will have to use a counter balance weight of some sort or it will be very unstable ,I bolted mine down to the concrete and did away with supplyed base you could use concrete slabs but I had no confidence in them
